On June 6, 2011, the video game streaming website Twitch launched as a spin-off of live streaming site Justin.tv. In nearly nine years, Twitch has become the go-to place for streaming, even surpassing its former corporate owner. Part of the reason for Twitch’s popularity is Twitch chat, and especially its emotes. With Twitch chat, passive viewing becomes interactive, and Twitch’s emotes become a kind of internal language of inside-jokes. The emotes have changed how people talk to each other both on and off the site.

Fortnite is an ever-changing landscape where the developers at Epic Games like to continuously shake things up to keep the game fresh. One way that Epic does this is by retiring weapons and items to a vault. While a weapon being “vaulted” takes it out of the game, it could eventually make a comeback—like the Guided Missile Launcher, which was vaulted, tweaked, and brought back. With new weapons and items being added every few weeks, the vault is becoming more and more useful to send weapons in and out of the game to keep things new and exciting.

Held items have been around in main-series Pokémon games since the days of Generation II. All Pokémon had the capacity to hold items given by their trainer, like berries and stat-enhancing tools. When caught, some wild Pokémon would even come with their own held items, which could be removed and used as players saw fit. Mojang has launched the first pre-release for the upcoming Wild Update in Minecraft. While the pre-release doesn’t add much new content and mostly focuses on fixing bugs, the switch from snapshots to pre-releases means that the next big Minecraft update, the 1.19 Wild Update, is finally getting closer to being released. The Wild Update is centered around adding new nature elements alongside some real horror to Minecraft. The 1.19 update is set to include many exciting additions such as the formidable Warden, mysterious ancient cities, frogs that come in three variants, the deep dark, mangrove swamps, and the Allay, a new mob that was chosen by the Minecraft community.

The Amazon Prime Video España Twitch channel has been banned from the platform after a case of intentional nudity displayed on stream. This is the first ban that the Prime Video channel has received, and notably the first ban to any Amazon-affiliated channel on its own streaming platform. The Prime Video stream was set to feature the last 2021 episode of “Esto Es Un Late,” a regular sponsored program featuring several prevalent Spanish-speaking streamers.

Ghost-types can be a little tricky to track down when looking around in the wild, whether because they are teleporting around or just located in areas you might not think to visit often in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This is true for Misdreavus, and you can run into it when traveling through the Coronet Highlands. You can find Misdreavus floating around in the Celestica Ruins, Sacred Plaza, or around Stonetooth Rows, though the latter might be the most dangerous since an Alpha Mismagius is located directly on the main path.

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s season three update just went live and Sledgehammer Games provided the patch notes for the update not long after. The biggest change introduced in season three is the addition of the Trophy System field upgrade.
