Park “Teddy” Jin-Sung, Ryu “Hoit” Ho-Sung, Yoo “FATE” Su-Hyeok, and Choi “Ellim” El-Lim joined Afreeca Freecs’ 2022 League of Legends roster, the organization revealed today. These four players filled out the previously vacant ADC, support, mid laner, and jungler positions. The four joined longtime top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in to complete the Afreeca Freecs roster. The LCK organization has also extended the contracts of its LCK CL coaches Byun “Citrus” Ji-Woong and Suh “Moon” Hyeon-Kwon.

Talented Apex Legends players are working on a mod that adds a building mechanic to the game, allowing players to build obstacles around the map. Apex is known for its fast-paced gameplay and cast of exciting characters with unique abilities. It doesn’t include a building mechanic at this time, but a new mod adds the entertaining feature.  As reported by Dexerto, YouTuber Skepation uploaded a video showing the mod in action.

Bel’Veth, the 160th League of Legends champion, was added to the game this week—and she’s already making waves in solo queue. The Empress of the Void is an attack damage-based jungler and since going live, players have been exploring her potential in the game. Like many new champions, her win rate is low, very low—38.85 percent, according to U.GG. But that hasn’t stopped players from producing some impressive highlights already. One player almost ended the game with Bel’Veth in 12 minutes.

The release of the next Pokémon TCG set, Chilling Reign, is just around the corner. And some of the promotional material that will be released alongside the set on June 5 has now been shown off.  In total, there are four promo Pokémon that will be appearing in the Build and Battle Boxes variant of Chilling Reign’s pre-release.  The first two are Galarian Starters Cinderace and Inteleon, which both play into the Single and Rapid Strike playstyle with moves that deal damage in different ways.

Pokémon UNITE’s current Ranked Season and battle pass are set to end on April 27, and with that, TiMi Studio has set the times for its next big maintenance period.  Set to run from around 4:30pm CT on April 27 to 2am CT on April 28, this update should push Ranked Season 4 live, along with the game’s seventh battle pass and some additional content like in-game events and updates.

A new online competition platform with an all-cash system, Ryvals, will launch in beta next week on May 28, the company announced today. Featuring a “state-of-the-art ELO system that will revolutionize the way players interact,” Ryvals is run by a leadership team of esports industry veterans like OpTic’s Hector Rodriguez and Mike Martin, along with Chris Shaya and Sean Murphy. “As a seasoned veteran in the competitive space, whether casual or tournament play, across different platforms, when the opportunity arose to become part of Ryvals, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to help create a platform that was built for the gamer,” said HECZ, who’s a co-owner and partner with the company.

Counter-Strike is nothing without its iconic maps. They build the foundation of the game, bringing players back time after time. Flesh and Blood is centered around two Heroes getting armored up and battling each other until one remains standing as the victor. This trading card game, created by Legend Story Studios, is a newcomer to the card-game space. The main gameplay focuses on a Hero, which the player acts as. Each Hero has different strengths, weaknesses, and unique cards they can use. There are nine classes in Flesh and Blood and each Hero falls within these different groups.

The new season of Destiny 2 is adding in new ways to fight the Darkness, and one of the stars of the show is the Cryosthesia 77K, a Stasis-powered Sidearm that lets any Guardian freeze their enemies almost at will. Charging up a shot after getting a kill will send in a bolt of stasis that freezes its target at the expense of all the ammo in the magazine. Despite being a Kinetic weapon, the Cryosthesia has Stasis as an element—a rare occurrence in Destiny 2.
