There are many different ways to play and interact with the world in Elden Ring. Players have near-limitless options when it comes to how they’ll go about attacking enemies and dealing damage. Many of these are melee-based combat styles, but FromSoftware did an amazing job creating a deep pool of ranged-based sorceries, incantations, and more. Many of the sorceries in Elden Ring are based on Glintstone magic. They often launch a shiny star-like projectile toward the enemy that deals magic damage.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has finally arrived and it has tons of items for players to wield. While picking up and using an item might come as second nature to an avid Super Smash Bros. fan, Ultimate is bringing in a lot of newcomers that struggle with basic controls. To help out, here is a simple guide to picking up and using the many items available in-game. Ultimate has many items, but they all require you to pick them up before being able to use them.

The Overwatch League may not be putting on its usual All-Stars events in 2021, but the league is making up for that by offering fans the chance to acquire previously limited-time skins from the “vault.”  Six skins from previous All-Stars events will be available from Sept. 7 to 26. Each event, which took place every year from 2018 to 2020, included two specially-designed skins based around an elemental or environmental theme.

League of Legends fans may have heard rumblings of a new support coming to the game early this year. And according to recent hints and teasers, the one candidate capturing the attention of fans is Renata Glasc, a businesswoman and the Baroness of Chemistry. The first time Riot Games gave League fans any hints about Renata’s identity was in September 2021, when it released a Champion Roadmap. Along with a teaser for an electrifying ADC, who turned out to be Zeri, Riot talked about a support that “truly ran this game,” emphasizing three main topics: money, technology, and power.

Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor expansion has added a lot of new content for players to shift through if they want to get the most out of the game, including a new item called Armorite Ore.  Armorite Ore is an important item treated as a rarity on the Isle of Armor. It can be exchanged with many NPCs for other items, special tasks, or teaching your Pokémon new moves.

Nicholas “Nick Eh 30” Amyoony is a household name in the Fortnite community. Before he moved on to Fortnite, Nick was originally a YouTuber who created a variety of content. Nick’s initial work allowed him to build a small but solid fan base and he skyrocketed to fame when he started livestreaming Fortnite on Youtube in 2017.

Kukulkan is a mage with great teamfight control if he scales, but a bad early game in SMITE. His kit relies on dealing a lot of area-of-effect (AOE) spells, which allows you to dictate the pace of fights. While you’ll have to farm up to solve your mana hunger to ensure that you can spam your abilities, you also need to be aware of the skirmishes between your teammates and opponents to ensure that you provide your support as needed.

Light machine guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are heavy, loud, and dangerous. This weapon class is sadly slept on due to its weight slowing players down in a game primarily dominated by run-and-gun play, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t viable. This tier list should give you a better idea of which gun is worth spending your time mastering. Although these weapons aren’t the strongest pick in every game mode, they do excel particularly in Ground War.

If there’s any feature that’s instantly recognizable and foundational to New World, it’s player housing. The mechanics behind player housing have been often marred throughout the history of MMO games, as the logistics needed to fit a full server’s population in different homes across the given space of a world is always difficult—especially when multiple players want to occupy the same spot.  But in New World, player housing is a mechanic that’s been practically perfected, and all of the kinks from other MMOs that have tested player housing have been worked out almost completely.

Battlefield 2042 features stunning visuals, but the game’s advanced graphics can cause some gaming rigs to struggle when it comes to maintaining smooth frame rates. Gamers with slightly older gaming PCs will need to make a few compromises to maintain a smooth frame rate with a decent overall visual quality. Most players will be able to increase their frames per second (fps) by lowering all the graphical settings in the game, but that may result in Battlefield 2042 looking noticeably worse.
