The hits keep coming for Apex Legends, as the incredibly successful game reached another milestone. Following the launch of Saviors, the game’s 13th season, on May 10, the game set a new record for itself on Steam, with over 400,000 players in the game concurrently on the PC platform. The new high mark comes directly following a successful season launch, featuring the game’s newest character, Newcastle, as well as changes to the game’s ranked mode and Storm Point map.

As Sony continues its global rollout of the PS5 over the next week, thousands of gamers will finally get their first taste of next-generation gaming. Two years after the release of Battlebond dual lands, better known as Crowd Lands, senior Magic: The Gathering designer Gavin Verhey revealed today a completion to the cycle with the upcoming Commander Legends set.  The Battlebond set was released in 2018, favoring ally colors, which led to the first cycle of ally Crowd Lands. These dual lands were unique as they “enter the battlefield tapped unless you have two or more opponents.

Popular streamer and TSM content creator QTCinderella has announced a new streaming awards show. In the announcement post, QTCinderella said she will host the inaugural Streamer Awards alongside fellow Twitch streamer Maya Higa. The announcement video promised various different awards, an in-person red carpet event, and audience voting. The Streamer Awards will be held live from Hollywood on March 12. Voting has already started on the event’s official webpage, which hosts 28 unique streaming categories with write-in nominations.

Dark and spooky Verdansk is returning in this year’s The Haunting event in Call of Duty: Warzone and there’s a special new mode with it—Ghosts of Verdansk. In Ghosts of Verdansk, dying turns you into a ghost instead of sending you to the Gulag. Ghosts function similarly to the way that zombies did in last year’s Halloween mode. But this one is a bit more unique in a few ways.
