Coming off of a historic win at the 2020 League of Legends World Championship two weeks ago, DAMWON Gaming has made a sudden shift at the head coaching position. The team has hired former SK Telecom T1 head coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun to lead its roster ahead of the 2021 season. Kkoma, a longtime staple of the SKT franchise, led the organization to its record-setting three World Championship titles between 2013 and 2016.

The Fortnite team at Epic Games has introduced a handful of weapon balancing updates to the game today, affecting the Two-Shot Shotgun, the Combat SMG, and both the Hammer AR and Striker Burst AR. The changes were relayed in a tweet from the official Fortnite Status account. The Two-Shot Shotgun, which was recently introduced at the start of the latest season, has received a massive buff since it has been widely ignored by players.

The $1 million prize pool ALGS Stockholm LAN starts Friday, April 29, and viewers can earn rewards for watching the action on Twitch with in-game cosmetics when they tune into the finals on Sunday, May 1. The finals of the largest tournament in Apex Legends esports to date will be broadcast on Twitch on the official Apex account starting at 9am CT on May 1. This weekend #ALGS history will be made.

Zach “Asmongold”, the top World of Warcraft: Classic streamer, has been accused of “failing the game” in a popular post on Reddit—prompting a response from the streamer himself. Fans accuse Asmongold of finding workarounds for several features in the game in order to potentially negate the grinding aspect of WoW: Classic. This includes easy to access mounts, quest markers, and using the Scarlet Monastery to level up quicker. “There’s a million reasons we all wanted classic WoW but I think it’s really sad that he and many streamers shit talked BFA forever and said they would play classic differently only to go around begging for gold and items,” the post’s author wrote.

Popular streamer and content creator Cr1tikal recently spoke on stream regarding the exodus of Twitch streamers to YouTube in light of Ludwig’s move off of the platform. Someone in Cr1tikal’s chat asked what he thinks these streamers leaving means for Twitch as a platform—and he answered bluntly. “Nothing,” Cr1tikal said. “I think even if xQc tomorrow announced that he was the next one leaving—I don’t know if he is or anything like that—but if he announced that he was leaving tomorrow, Twitch wouldn’t fight for him.

In the v19.30 update in February 2022, Gyro Aiming was added to Fortnite as a new way for players to control the movement of their character and gain even more precision over their aim. In traditional controller aiming, players control the camera by moving the right stick in the direction they want the camera to point at. Gyro comes with a new approach, allowing players to control the camera by simply turning the controller.

VALORANT players can use their Amazon Prime subscription to get their hands on the latest gun buddy from Riot, the Tower of Power. The Tower of Power is the latest monthly VALORANT item available from the Prime Gaming Loot system, which rewards players who link their Amazon Prime account to their Riot/VALORANT account. Destiny 2’s highly anticipated expansion, The Witch Queen, is set to finally release tomorrow, Feb. 22, and the update’s pre-load will be available soon. This February expansion will bring loads of new content including weapons, a campaign, new destinations, a reworked Void subclass, and weapon crafting. Guardians hoping to get in on the exciting action as soon as possible should pre-load their game so they’ll be ready as soon as the update drops.

Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew are going to be the featured species in Pokémon Go’s March Community Day on March 13, and players can already take advantage of some of the bonuses involved with the event.  Along with featuring two distinct variants of Sandshrew, evolving either Sandshrew or Alolan Sandshrew during the event will teach their respective Sandslash variant an event-exclusive move. For Kantonian Sandslash, it will learn the Charged Attack Night Slash, while Alolan Sandslash will learn the Fast Attack Shadow Claw.
