New Wild Area Event begins in Pokémon Sword and Shield starring Alola starters

A New WIld Area Event is now live in Pokémon Sword and Shield this week and it will feature the three starter Pokémon from the Alola region. Twitch streamer Thebausffs banned on League after intentionally feeding a game with Faker

League of Legends Twitch streamer Simon “Thebausffs” Hofverberg has been banned from using his Korean server account after intentionally feeding on Sion in a ranked game with pro superstar Faker. An EU Challenger player for many years, Thebausffs looked to challenge himself by traveling to South Korea on April 1 to see just how good he actually was. The star uses a unique playstyle centered around his Sion play, and wanted to see if it could match against the most competitive online League environment.

Team Envy acquires Marved on loan from FaZe Clan for VCT Stage 3

On the eve of the NA VCT Stage Three: Challengers One open qualifier, Team Envy made a last-minute roster move, acquiring Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen on loan from FaZe Clan. Marved will be inserted directly into the starting lineup, with Jake “kaboose” McDonald moving to a reserve spot. Envy are considered one of the top teams in North America, with several deep runs in NA Challengers events under their belt, including Masters One and the Challengers Finals.

Twitch adds more emote slots for Affiliates, Partners

Twitch announced today that Affiliates now have a new maximum of nine emote slots instead of the previous maximum of five. In addition to the nine regular emotes, Affiliates will also be able to upload five animated emotes, bringing the maximum amount of Tier One Subscriber emotes for Affiliates to 14. This is big news for long-time Twitch Affiliates who may struggle to compete with Twitch Partners for viewer subscriptions. Twitch Partners have always had significantly more perks to offer their subscribers, so Twitch’s announcement today helps Affiliates provide more value to their communities.
