After several years of Magic: The Gathering crossing over into Dungeons & Dragons, the world’s biggest tabletop role-playing game will join forces with Magic for Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, the first crossover set in Magic’s history. The two properties are both in the Wizards of the Coast family, making the cross over a natural transition. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is a main expansion that brings D&D mechanics and flavor to the card gam,e which started as a way for adventurers to pass time in between D&D sessions.

Galarian Slowpoke is here. A free update in Pokémon Sword and Shield added it to the game today following the news that DLC expansions with hundreds of new and returning Pokémon are coming to the games. Obviously, with any new Pokémon release, shiny hunters are quick to try and get their hands on the shiny variant of that Pokémon—and Galarian Slowpoke is no exception. It seems as if the original encounter with Galarian Slowpoke in Wedgehurst is shiny locked, as far as we can tell.

The partnership between Call of Duty and Mountain Dew is a beautiful thing. Not only can gamers unlock double XP in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War by drinking Mountain Dew Game Fuel, but now they can show their Dew allegiance with a special new skin for Adler. The limited-time offer will deck out the scar-faced operative in a bright green and black outfit, fit for only the most dedicated and Game Fuel’d gamers in Verdansk and beyond.

Liquipedia is one of the biggest hubs of information in the esports scene and is a platform that is trusted by tournament organizers and other entities, which is why it has been targeted by those trying to use it in Dota 2 match-fixing schemes. On a nearly weekly basis, the Liquipedia staff and volunteers are bombarded with submissions of fabricated Dota tournaments, tournament organizers, and teams trying to make themselves seem more legitimate by being added to the wiki.

The World of Warcraft: Classic experience is pretty barren on the surface. The base game doesn’t necessarily give players a whole lot of direction when it comes to their adventure, so outside assistance may be required to make the experience smoother.  Luckily, there are countless downloadable addons to integrate into your game and customize for an easier trip through Azeroth. From addons that tell you all you need to know about dungeon and raid encounters to addons that simply allow you to customize your mini-map, WoW: The Burning Crusade Classic leaves a ton of room for added bits and pieces.

Pokémon Go’s Gible Community Day is here, and with it, players will be able to capture and train the powerful Dragon/Ground-type more easily. Running from 11am to 5pm local time on June 6, players will see a lot of Gible and have an increased chance to see the shiny variant if they’re lucky. Unfortunately, there won’t be any Mega Garchomp sightings immediately following the event, but players can still evolve their Gible into a Gabite and then into a Garchomp that will know the event-exclusive Charge Move Earth Power.

Over the past few weeks, Grand Theft Auto V roleplaying servers have exploded in popularity. Twitch’s most well-known streamers have joined in, making GTA V one of the most popular games on the platform.  As GTA V roleplaying continues to expand, it may get more challenging to keep up with all the new characters on the servers. And as new people join a server, more and more characters are created. 

Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Witch Queen, has a campaign with a diverse cast of new and returning characters. One of the new characters introduced early on is Fynch, an unexpectedly friendly Hive Ghost and the planetary vendor for the new destination, Savathun’s Throne World. He has a shifty personality but an eagerness to help out the Vanguard efforts. It’s hard to tell if his leads are trustworthy, but his quips and enthusiasm craft him into a lovable ally all the same.

The story of the Season of Heritage is continuing to unfold with Pokémon Go’s newest event, Mountains of Power. This event puts a focus on Rock and Steel-type Pokémon as players work with Team Instinct leader Spark to unlock the second mechanism keeping the mysterious door discovered at the beginning of the season locked shut.  During the Mountains of Power event, which will run from Jan. 7 to 13, players will be able to encounter Mega Aerodactyl in Mega Raids for the first time.

When Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki helped Evil Geniuses capture its first LCS championship last month, the hype around the young team was higher than ever before. They were coming off of a Cinderella-like run through the playoffs, taking out a tough Cloud9 roster with the Spring Split MVP, Team Liquid’s formidable superteam, and, finally, the defending champions in 100 Thieves. Many North American League of Legends fans were gung-ho about their chances at the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational as well, placing stock in the team’s fast-rising rookies and veteran stars.
