In League of Legends Patch 12.6, players were introduced to a significant overhaul to the game’s Mythic content system, with the biggest change coming to the gemstones that all players should be familiar with. Gemstones and prestige points have been removed and replaced by Mythic Essence, a new type of currency that will never expire. Like gemstones and prestige points, Mythic Essence can be used to buy special skins, accessories, and other unique items in the client’s loot tab.

Activision may have denied popular content creator and prolific Call of Duty Warzone player Kalei a captain spot in one of FaZe Clan’s Warzone events because of her “oversexual tweets,” she claimed in a since-deleted tweet. Riot Games has teased the next batch of upcoming water-themed League of Legends skins for Yone, Nidalee, Zeri, Ashe, and Seraphine. The skins come just in time for the warm weather months in the Northern Hemisphere. Each of the thematic and visual components presented in the champions’ skins revolve heavily around aquatic, summertime-centric elements.  The skin line, titled “Ocean Song,” gives off good vibes across the board. Each champion given a skin appears as though they’re attending a nighttime poolside party complete with loud music, flashing lights, and splashing water.

Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Oct. 25, players have started racing to achieve the highest level in multiplayer.  Ranking up can be a difficult task in multiplayer considering the large maps and long game times. But players can rank up easily by selecting the objective game modes, such as Cyber Attack, Domination, or Headquarters, since these modes award a high amount of XP.  Players could rank up by playing Search and Destroy since there’s an objective each round and players are rewarded more XP for each elimination.

Pokémon UNITE, a MOBA title developed in partnership with Tencent’s TiMi Studios and The Pokémon Company, is being worked on—and with it comes a lot of unique possibilities.  UNITE doesn’t need to follow the same rules as a standard Pokémon game. Instead, it will get to play around with its roster more than most of the other spin-off Pokémon games usually get to do.  UNITE is available on both Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, with full cross-progression available for players who want to swap between platforms.

It seems like Niantic is running into a litany of issues when it comes to exploitation and cheating in Pokémon Go, and now an entire operating system is being flagged as cheating software.  Anyone playing Pokémon Go on an iPhone that utilizes iOS 12.4.7 or other versions of the more recent updates might be at risk of being flagged for violating the game’s Terms of Service.  The message affected users are seeing says the app has “detected activity on your account that indicates you are using modified client software or unauthorized third-party software.
