The 22nd installment of the MC Championship (MCC) takes place over the course of approximately two hours on May 28. The Minecraft tournament features 10 teams composed of four creators each facing off in a series of eight mini-games. Squads will try and score enough coins to be one of the top two teams, who then face off in the grand finale, Dodgebolt duel, to claim the crown for that installment of the event.

Riot Games teased at the start of the year that some developments would be made in the lore of the Void, a region in League of Legends that little is known about other than some of its horrifying inhabitants that can be played on the Rift. Thanks to some new art for a familiar Void-traveling face, more information on a “Void event” may be coming soon. As part of the current PBE cycle, Kassadin has received new splash art that differs greatly from how the champion has appeared in the game for the past decade.

The finale of a TV show almost always generates many views, and that holds true with Twitch viewership for big reveals and community events, such as the Dream SMP. Today marked the “end” of the Dream SMP Minecraft server, a server that featured many of the biggest content creators and streamers on YouTube and Twitch. Each Fortnite season finds a way to be unique. While some drastically change the map, others can take their place in the hall of fame with collaborations. Spider-Man isn’t the only notable name in Fortnite’s Chapter Three, season one. During the first moments of the new season, fans found out that The Foundation was being portrayed by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson—and the battle pass revealed that he could be unlocked as a playable skin.

Audio can be tricky. Anyone involved in audio production can attest to how even the smallest details can impact audio quality. While microphones are a big part of the process for streamers and YouTubers, audio cables are just as essential in achieving the desired audio quality. When picking a suitable cable, it is essential to know if it is unbalanced or balanced. While both work similarly, each offers different results in audio quality and limitations.

Among Us lets players customize the look of their characters through the use of various cosmetics, including skins, hats, and pets. These cosmetics are available as a mixture of free items included in the base game, purchasable add-ons, or event exclusives that unlock at various times of the year, such as specific holidays.  The availability of these items also varies between which version of the game you’re playing. On the mobile version of the game, several hats are free and automatically owned by the player.

Fluid gameplay mechanics and a good story aren’t enough for a recipe for success since it only takes a bad monetization model to kill the experience like Valve’s card game Artifact. Cosmetic items have been a huge part of all the hit games throughout the last decade, like League of Legends, VALORANT, CS:GO, Dota 2, and Apex Legends. When Apex first came out, the pool of available skins was quite limited.

There are a few items in Pokémon Go that can be used to help players customize their experience in the game, including the Incense.  This item will passively attract Pokémon directly to a player for a full hour, usually averaging one encounter per minute while active.  But as Niantic continues to develop Pokémon Go and add more content, there has also been a slight update to Incense. It doesn’t change the core mechanic of the item, but it does ensure there is a more situational version that can be utilized for events and special offerings.

The yearly festivities of the Guardian Games event began once more in Destiny 2 on May 3. The event tasks players of all three classes with taking on a variety of challenges, all to earn medallions ranging from bronze to platinum that get deposited at the event Podium in the Tower. The format of the challenges changes year to year, but the goal is always the same: get more points for your favorite class than the other classes muster up.

The upcoming Pokémon Go Tour: Johto celebrates the Johto region, first explored in Pokémon Gold and Silver. Many powerful Pokémon call this region their home, including some that remain some of the most popular creatures throughout the series. Scizor, the Bug and Steel-type evolution of Scyther, is just one of these Pokémon that has continued to hold fans’ interest over the past 20 years. Though incredibly frail with its typing, its high Attack and Speed stats, complete with its intricate design, have allowed it to flourish in the competitive Pokémon scene for years.
