PvP has been a staple of all of the FromSoftware games. With the advent and subsequent popularity of Dark Souls, PvP has become just as crucial as PvE, with a lot of the older games’ population still thriving on an active PvP player base despite long since finishing the game’s story. As such, Elden Ring has taken the classic invasion PvP concept of the previous games and polished it even further in FromSoftware’s latest installment of the games.

Apex Legends officially welcomed its 18th legend to the game with the launch of season 10, Emergence. Seer, the Ambush Artist, offered fans a new recon-style of play and a host of flashy abilities. Seer players track enemies’ heartbeats and use his fleet of micro-drones to scout out their locations. Seer can interrupt enemies’ actions with his tactical, and his ultimate serves as a way for teams to control an area during a gunfight.

Privacy is important to most players regardless of the game. Sometimes, concealing your in-game name is the best choice. VALORANT gives players a few options to increase their privacy, allowing them to enjoy the game without revealing their real identities. This is an excellent option for streamers who want to hide their real names to enjoy the game like any other player.  There currently isn’t a specific streamer mode in VALORANT, but players can hide their names from players outside of their party and enable generic names for others outside of their party.

With Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, Konami wanted to create a digital platform for the card game that would appeal to casual and competitive players from all corners of the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom.  In doing so, Master Duel has a Solo Mode and the ability to form Duel rooms that allow players to enjoy curated or customized experiences whenever they want. Most of the players that will stick around beyond a few weeks are focusing on the game’s Ranked Duel mode, however.

An Apex Legends cosplayer who has been working on a Bloodhound cosplay for the last several months has completed it, and the results are spectacular. Cosplayer TrineKN, who also goes by troffiin, shared a photo of their completed Plague Doctor Bloodhound cosplay on Reddit. They posted additional photos of the final result on their Twitter account. Besides the outfit itself, TrineKN also created the R-301 and scope that they’re holding in the finished photo.

For some people, having a PC that looks as clean as it is functional is an important part of owning a gaming rig. Alongside proper cable management, cleaning, and color coding, Red Green Blue LED lights (RGBs) can brighten a PC up with warm colors and a thematic look you wouldn’t be able to achieve with standard components.  Functionally, RGB lighting provides about as much performance as downloading more RAM. But aesthetically, it’s in a league of its own.

After more than a decade online, Heroes of Newerth is ceasing operation on June 20, 2022. The MOBA was heavily developed using ideas from the original Dota, or Defense of the Ancients, which was a custom map developed in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Although the HoN development team is officially shutting the game’s services down next June, HoN will be going out with a bang aimed to thank the players who have stuck around or created an account before Dec.

G2 Esports revamped its CS:GO roster at the beginning of the year, adding one of the most renowned in-game leaders in the scene, Aleksib, and one of the up-and-coming stars of the game, m0NESY. The young player, despite being only 17-years-old, has already stunned audiences from around the world, producing eye-watering highlights and plays in the biggest tournaments on the planet. M0NESY was a pivotal part of G2’s finals run at IEM Katowice 2022 and was later one of their best players in ESL Pro League Season 15, IEM Dallas 2022, and PGL Antwerp Major.

The long-awaited Magic: the Gathering Banned and Restricted announcement for Alrund’s Epiphany dropped today, along with bans for Divide by Zero and Faceless Haven in the Standard format. The Jan. 25 MTG Banned and Restricted announcement by Wizards of the Coast has removed Alrund’s Epiphany, Faceless Haven, and Divide by Zero from the Standard format, effective immediately via tabletop and on Jan. 27 for Magic Online and MTG Arena. Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer was also banned from the Legacy format, along with Memory Lapse for the Historic format.

Players will venture to a new Magic: The Gathering plane and city via the upcoming Standard-legal set Streets of New Capenna, with spoilers taking place over the course of seven days in April.  The MTG Streets of New Capenna (SNC) spoiler season begins April 7 via Wizards of the Coast and continues through April 14. A total of 281 regular cards are contained within the upcoming Standard-legal set, showcasing a modern gangster/noir theme via five crime families that rule over the city of New Capenna.
