The Fortnite map is constantly evolving with every season. Points of interest (POIs) change over time, forcing players to adapt their looting patterns. Chests and ground loot aren’t the only two ways to acquire loot in the game, however. Players can get their hands on unique weapons by defeating bosses. Gunnar is one of the newest bosses in Fortnite. Players can add the Mythic Stinger SMG to their loadout by defeating him. While defeating a boss may sound simple at first, they all come with unique mechanics and large HP pools, turning the whole process into a real challenge.

There has been an influx of reports from players who are either unable to boot up Phantasy Star Online 2, or have had the game randomly crash on them only to display the error message “An Update to the game file has been detected…” Despite going through standard troubleshooting options like restarting the game, or uninstalling and reinstalling, this issue has persisted. Fortunately, there appears to now be a working fix that is helping out some users.

With cold weather taking hold in parts of the world, the Clap Pokémon Spheal should feel right at home during its Pokémon Go Community Day.  On Jan. 16, players will have the chance to encounter Spheal more frequently and will also benefit from triple capture experience and three-hour durations for Incense and Lure Modules.  Throughout the event, any Spheal evolved into Sealeo and then Walrein will learn the event-exclusive moves Powder Snow and Icicle Spear.

Eight-time LCS champion Doublelift admits he wants to play in the premier North American competition again and “frequently” considers joining another League of Legends team to compete for a record ninth domestic title. “I have the urge,” Doublelift said of returning to pro play. “Frequently. It’s something romanticized in our minds. And it is really fulfilling. It’s something I love.” The 28-year-old last played in the LCS under TSM’s banner in 2020.

Pokémon Sword and Shield only start you off with eight boxes in your PC’s storage system, which is just enough to scratch the surface of a completed Galarian Pokédex.  But there’s a simple trick for unlocking more boxes so you can be more organized or not worry about potentially running out of space. All you need to do is make sure each of the eight boxes has at least one Pokémon in it and then close out of the PC.

Apex Legends’ season 13 is kicking off on May 10, but one of the most anticipated features in Saviors won’t start until weeks after launch. The Control limited-time mode will return in the second half of season 13, according to game director Evan Nikolich. Control will “get a bit of work” and “stay out of the limelight for the first half of the season,” Nikolich said. But it will return with a few tricks up its sleeve.

Like many first-person shooters before it, VALORANT is a friend of street art. Fans can enjoy an action-packed campaign alongside the multiplayer mode that’s become a staple of the series.  But sometimes the Call of Duty: Vanguard servers will go down, preventing players from connecting to online services and enjoying the game with friends.

Apex Legends is sending players on a scavenger hunt as part of its new in-game teaser. Legends can finally unlock the large platform in the Firing Range, but it’s going to take a bit of running around and some searching to find the passcode. The full teaser has three parts: getting an invitation (a keycard), finding the holo-sprays, and unlocking the passcode at the Firing Range. It’s a straightforward process, but getting it done can be tricky if you don’t know what to look out for.
