OTK members Mizkif, Esfand, and guest AustinShow briefly took over fellow streamer HAchubby’s convenience store in Busan, South Korea, during a broadcast today. Several members from the esports organization and streaming collective OTK recently journeyed to South Korea and have already flooded fans with content. In only their first two days, the group were met by countless fans, Esfand was rushed to the emergency room, and Mizkif was mocked by locals for his poor chopstick skills.

Dodging League of Legends lobbies may become a thing of the past. League lead gameplay designer Mark “Scruffy” Yetter explained some changes to matchmaking in today’s dev post. Assault rifles have always been some of the most popular weapons in Call of Duty titles—and that’s still the case in Black Ops 4.  Black Ops 4 launched with five assault rifles and three tactical rifles. Although they aren’t technically classified as ARs, the tactical rifles are essentially ARs that aren’t fully-automatic (semi-auto or burst fire). Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has backflipped on plans to miss a month of streaming, revealing on April 20 that she would no longer be taking a “trip out of town” that would have cut a hole right into the middle of her YouTube schedule. Blizzard introduced a new character in Overwatch’s lore as part of a short story, Bastet, in 2019. Though the majority of the story focused on the relationship between Ana and Soldier: 76, there’s another relationship explored—one between a younger Soldier: 76, then called Jack Morrison, and a man named Vincent. Bastet confirms that Soldier: 76 is Overwatch’s second gay character. (Tracer is the first official queer character, announced a few years ago in an Overwatch digital comic.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is taking some cues from the original Sinnoh titles just like Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, with several Pokémon getting new evolutions in the game.  This is a way for Game Freak and The Pokémon Company to give older Pokémon new life in terms of popularity and in-game strength through adding another stage to a previous evolutionary line. This is especially true for Pokémon that previously had no evolutions.

Revenant is the robotic horror of Apex Legends, the character whose every design is based on a simple concept: fear. He should always be scary, and Respawn Entertainment has done a great job reinforcing that with Revenant’s skins, whether the developer turns the simulacrum into the big bad wolf, a god of death, or some unholy priest, ready to cut through his prey with a scythe that would make the grim reaper blush.

Competitive Call of Duty fans can now predict the outcome of upcoming matches and test their knowledge of the professional scene with Call of Duty League Pick’em, which was announced today. The CDL Bracket Builder was introduced during the Call of Duty League’s inaugural season. Fans were able to compete for a chance to win the CDL Champs $100,000 giveaway for the perfect bracket if they correctly predicted all the outcomes of the final tournament.

Activision has dropped the launch trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone’s Pacific update, featuring everything coming with the new map, Caldera. The trailer is a classic Call of Duty video, featuring loud music, bombastic action scenes, and over-the-top moments that may or may not happen when players drop into the new Warzone map when it launches later this week. The trailer shows several of the Pacific-themed map’s new locations and also highlights the two modes that will be launching with Caldera: Vanguard Royale and Battle Royale.
