When T1’s Keria made his international League of Legends debut at the 2020 World Championship, the idea of playing in front of fans wasn’t a thought due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The open beta for Amazon Games’ upcoming MMORPG, New World, is now live. For the next four days, players will have the chance to test out New World for free before the game officially launches later this month. Starting today, players will be able to level through New World and make as much progress as they can before the open beta testing period comes to a close. One of the longest-standing players in professional League of Legends history is stepping back this year to demonstrate his talent through full-time streaming. Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pederson—former jungler for teams like Fnatic, Team Liquid, and CLG—announced on his Twitch stream today that he will not be participating in pro play in 2022. Instead, he said his current endeavor is to climb the League ranked ladder through streaming from his home in Denmark.

Dignitas has released veteran League of Legends support player Aphromoo after two seasons with the team, the organization announced today.  Aphromoo joined Dignitas ahead of the 2020 season. During his time with the team, he posted a total match record of 36-49, helping the organization secure two playoff berths across the last two seasons. Additionally, Aphromoo helped foster young bottom laners such as Neo and Johnsun during his time under the Dignitas banner.

Team Liquid has benched one of its original VALORANT players Travis “L1NK” Mendoza today and replaced him with former LDN UTD player Aurimas “Dreamas” Zablockis for the remainder of EMEA VCT Challengers Stage Two. The roster change confirms Dot Esports’ report from yesterday that said L1NK was not seen practicing with the team and would likely be moved to the inactive lineup. EMEA VCT Challengers Stage Two resumes today and Dreamas will debut against Natus Vincere.
