Apex Legends is bringing some treasure to the holiday spirit this year. Respawn Entertainment has revealed Raiders, the game’s pirate-themed end-of-year event, which runs between Dec. 7 and 21. The collection event is bringing a plethora of additions, including the returning Winter Express LTM and Wattson’s Heirloom set. Though Apex ditched its usual end-of-year theme in 2021, the popular Winter Express game mode is returning for the duration of the event.

Enchantments and Artifacts from the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set have helped shape a new Magic: The Gathering Alchemy meta.  The release of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty (NEO) brought about a shift within the Alchemy meta, mainly through the creation of the Naya Runes deck. But Enchantments aren’t the only MTG cards popping off within the digital format. Rakdos Sacrifice decks got an upgrade via Oni-Cult Anvil. And legendary lands within the colors White, Green, and Blue have provided additional value to Naya Runes builds, along with Azorius Control decks.

Call of Duty: Mobile has been developed by Activision in a partnership with Tencent’s Timi Studios. While it has been published globally by Activision, Garena has published the game in Southeast Asia. The two games are exactly similar. CoD: Mobile Garena is for players only in Southeast Asia (except Vietnam). The global version, published by Activision, can be enjoyed by players in all other regions except Vietnam, Belgium, and China.

With Episode Three of VALORANT beginning on June 22, a plethora of changes are coming to the ranked competitive mode. Competitive designer Jon “EvrMoar” Walker joined caster Rivington Bisland III on a developer livestream today to discuss the impending changes, including a rank reset and adjustments to how rankings are determined. During the livestream, Walker said that when the game launched, the devs had a system that adjusted matchmaking rating (MMR) based on the number of games played to get players into their correct ranks as quickly as possible.

PUBG: New State’s second alpha test will be available to players in Asia and MENA on Aug. 27, Krafton confirmed in a blog post yesterday.  New State is set in the year 2051, years after the original version of the game. It takes place in the city of Troi, which is eight by eight kilometers in size (same as Erangel in PUBG). The game feels similar to PUBG Mobile but Krafton said it will be making the graphics more visually appealing.

Clash Royale’s summer update, which is accompanying the game’s 24th season, is bringing a new card to the game. The Goblins have manufactured a new piece of technology, called the Goblin Drill. As the name suggests, it’s a drill that can be used by Goblins to travel underneath the arena, just like the Miner, and erupt anywhere. Inside the drill, there are several Goblins that will slowly spawn on the arena.

GuelHandmade, the team behind the adorable crochet Arcane Jinx doll, are back—this time with a wide range of new Arcane and League of Legends-themed dolls. Dubbed “League of Crochets” by user BhunnyBheb, a 44-second video clip posted to Reddit made members of the League community marvel at the ensemble of crocheted champions. The characters from Arcane that join Jinx as crochet include Powder, Vi, and Caitlyn. Meanwhile, familiar faces from League include Xayah and Arcade Ahri, who round out the new selection of Riot Games-themed crochet dolls available.

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode is now available for everyone to enjoy for free and is an excellent way to get your Halo fix before the full game releases on Dec. 8. Players can jump into the multiplayer for the classic Halo experience and battle enemies in iconic modes like Oddball and Slayer. Players can also purchase the battle pass and grind their way through 100 levels to earn exclusive premium content.

Playing Mercy, Overwatch’s Swiss field medic, can almost feel like playing an entirely different game. Mercy’s role is not to annihilate enemy heroes and dish out lots of damage. Positioning and timing are much more important in keeping other heroes alive so that they can make those big plays. Among Overwatch’s support heroes, Mercy has seen her highs and lows when it comes to pick rates. Lucio, Ana, and Moira have dominated the competitive scene for some time, but Mercy has had her moments over the past few years.

The 2022 League of Legends preseason is aiming to make the game’s champions and items more diverse by bringing along some major changes to a relatively unfocused area of the game throughout 2021: rune choices. Riot previously revealed that various rune changes are coming in the 2022 preseason. And as a part of today’s game update delving into the general preseason changes, two major keystone rune changes were revealed, as well as the addition of a new rune.
