The Call of Duty League’s third Major of the 2022 season is officially underway. Roughly two months ago, the Los Angeles Guerrillas stunned the competitive Call of Duty community by going on a historic losers bracket run to win Major Two in Minnesota. And now, heading into Major Three, it feels like several teams have a legitimate chance to take home the title. All 12 CDL teams are set to battle it out in Toronto from June 2 to 5 after competing in three weeks of online qualifier matches to determine the seeding for this event.

Created by Grayson “Xion” and co-designed by Bandon “Kingu,” Akora TCG will release its first edition of Spellbound Wings on April 22 following a successful Kickstarter.  Based in a world of alchemy with anime/manga style art and characters, Akora TCG is owned by EVA corporation and showcases easy-to-learn skillful gameplay alongside stunning art variations. Intrepid Studios’ upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation hasn’t officially launched yet, but the current plan for the game is for it to have a subscription model. The title will not be free to play. In a live Q&A session last year, Intrepid creative director Steven Sharif said that the studio intends to implement subscriptions to the game at a cost of $14.99. This closely mirrors the subscription model of the industry’s leading MMO World of Warcraft.

As players who dearly miss last season’s Breach and Clear mod can attest, Artifact Mods play an important role in any Destiny 2 season—and Season of the Lost is no exception. Bungie gave fans an early look at the Champion mods before the new season kicked off and fans knew what to expect in that department. It’s the end of the road for Bae “Bang” Jun-sik. The former world champion has announced his retirement from League of Legends after competing professionally for close to 10 years.  The player will be stepping down from Afreeca Freecs to fulfill his duties in the Korean military service, which is compulsory for male citizens between the ages of 18 and 28 in South Korea. Everyone’s favorite Yordle Teemo is an immensely powerful top lane champion that excels in many of the potential matchups he may encounter. Teemo’s strength comes from his ability to deal critical damage over time while nullifying his enemy’s attacks. Taking a melee-based champion into the lane against the Swift Scout will result in an uphill battle due to his ability to slowly wear down his enemy through the effects of Toxic Shot.

A new Magic: The Gathering mechanic, Companion, is causing havoc in formats from Standard and Limited to Eternal. Wizards of the Coast introduced the Companion mechanic via Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths and it’s likely disrupting the game even more so than when planeswalkers were first introduced. Prior to the set’s digital release on April 16, Lutri, the Spellchaser was banned from Brawl. And in the Lotus Box MTG Arena tournament that took place just a few days after the launch of IKO, the top-four Standard Constructed decks all contained a Companion.

In Grand Theft Auto V, heists are more complex missions that have the potential to net the player thousands, if not millions, of dollars. The player can then use that money to buy new vehicles, businesses, safehouses, and more. Each heist varies and will depend on your level of preparation, or lack thereof.  Your choices leading up to the heist and your preparation are the most critical moments. Each Minecraft Championship event usually takes around two to four hours. Though Noxcrew has organized each MCC in a way that it doesn’t take more than two and a half hours to wrap up, technical difficulties and other unexpected in-game events can cause them to extend for a little longer. Considering each event features some of the most known names within the Minecraft community, a longer event means the viewers will be getting a higher dose of their favorite game and content creators.
