Web-based puzzle games like Wordle and its many variations have become a popular way to start the day, presenting just enough of a challenge to make it fun, as well as a social element. The game is inspired by the classic Mastermind, but with a twist. Each day, players need to guess a different word in up to six tries, and the only clues are the letters themselves. First you enter a five-letter word of your choice, then get feedback from the game indicating if the letter is in the correct position, in the wrong position, or not in the word at all.

Even though every champion received new tools in League of Legends’ recent durability changes, some have continued to struggle in their respective roles, forcing Riot to step in with a mid-patch hotfix. Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, the lead designer on game balance in League, announced that Patch 12.10b was being released immediately as a hotfix to address some of the champions most impacted by 12.10’s durability update. The list of champions buffed includes many that have seen their win rate fall significantly, whereas many other champions have enjoyed a win rate increase.

A necessary dual cycle of Magic: The Gathering enemy lands was introduced today, showcasing all 10 filter lands in Double Masters.  Originally printed in Shadowmoor and Eventide, the 10 rare filter lands revealed today somewhat make up for the lack of fetch lands in the upcoming release of the MTG Double Masters set. For the first time in decades, both the allied and enemy filter lands are contained in one set.

VALORANT players can start 2022 with a fresh bundle that includes five skins from previous skin lines in one convenient package.  The new Run It Back bundle features the Origin Operator, Forsaken Vandal, Prime 2.0 Odin, Tethered Realms Ghost, and Recon Spectre. The term Virtual YouTuber (VTuber) may be new to most people, but the VTubing community existed even before the term came to be. Though they didn’t have a name back then, there were multiple virtual content creators catering mostly to a Japanese audience. VTubers aren’t that different from regular content creators. As opposed to having a face cam while streaming a game, they use a virtual avatar instead. This virtual avatar reacts to their gestures and movement, becoming the face of their channel.

Demonology Warlock is one of the most intriguing classes in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Despite recent nerfs prior to the expansion, the ceiling on Demonology is incredibly high. The core gameplay mechanics of Demonology Warlock boil down to standing in the backline of an encounter and commanding a practical army of demons to do your bidding and dish out unreasonable damage on your behalf. While there will certainly be moments where the class feels underwhelming in the mobility department, its intrigue and damage ceiling stand right alongside any class in the game.

It appears that while Twitch is not outright banning the content colloquially known as the “hot tub meta,” it’s placing it in a new category on its site. Twitch announced the creation of the “Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches” category today in reaction to the rise of attractive women wearing bikinis in their hot tubs overwhelming the “Just Chatting” section. Emotes are one of the flagship features on Twitch that enhance the viewing and chatting experience for viewers, and while most emotes are visible to everyone, some can only be viewed when using the BetterTTV internet extension. Among those emotes is the “4Weird” emote, which is a spinoff of the popular “4Head” emote. Both images are of former League of Legends streamer Cadburry making different facial expressions. While 4Head is a part of Twitch’s main list of emotes, 4Weird is one you’ll need BetterTTV to see and use.
