In 2016, Riot Games added a little more incentive for players to want to reach the upper echelons of the League of Legends ranked ladder. The company introduced physical rewards for people who reached Challenger at the end of the season. Unfortunately, it looks like those days are now coming to a end. Riot posted an update on its website revealing that it will no longer be rewarding Challenger players with physical rewards at the end of the season from 2019 onward.

A new feature was added to Call of Duty: Warzone as part of a season two update on Feb. 24, and it has the potential to completely upend battle royale games on Caldera. It’s called the Nebula V bomb, and it’s dangerous and potentially game-changing when used correctly. It’s found as a very rare drop inside of loot crates throughout the map and will completely pollute an area with hazardous gas for a period of time.

A buzzword in the Call of Duty community has been rampant on social media recently—and it could be confusing if you don’t know its definition. If you’ve been on Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Twitch, or basically anywhere that people congregate to talk about CoD, you’ve most likely seen people talking about SBMM. It’s a controversial subject, but it’s something that’s worth talking about both from the standpoint of players and developers. So what exactly is SBMM?

Konami has revealed the first maintenance period for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will take place from 7pm CT on Jan. 26 to 1am CT on Jan. 27.  This scheduled downtime for the game actually lines up with when the new Yu-Gi-Oh! platform shadow dropped and went live on Jan. 19.  The length of the actual maintenance period will vary depending on how long it takes the developers to fix the issues they are working on, so it could end earlier or later than the allotted time.

Astralis has promoted Martin “trace” Heldt to be the permanent head coach of its CS:GO roster, the organization announced today. This move has been made one week before the biggest tournament in the first half of 2022, the PGL Antwerp CS:GO Major, begins. With trace behind the steering wheel, Astralis has secured some admirable results in the past few months. The Dane became the team’s main coach in January, and since then, the squad has participated in numerous tournaments.

There’s a case to be made that Teemo is the most famous League of Legends champion of all-time. With his trademark green hat, infamous laugh, and known-far-and-wide mushrooms, even people who don’t play League recognize Teemo.  Beyond his iconic base look, though, Teemo has a wide array of skins and cosmetic options that practically turn him into an entirely different character in-game. Since he was one of the game’s original champions, being released alongside League’s launch in 2009, Teemo has over a dozen skins to choose from.

Get hyped up, spooky enthusiasts. Overwatch‘s Halloween Terror event is back, bringing with it new skins, cosmetics, and the chance to play a few good rounds of Junkenstein’s Revenge. This year, eight new skins are up for grabs, including three Epic skins that can only be unlocked by completing weekly challenges.

Epic Games might be running out of ideas for Fortnite skins. The developer has been pumping out new skins at an insane rate over the past two years and it should be commended. But Epic’s newest addition to the store is an abomination. Candyman reactive skin, head spins when you get a kill from FortNiteBR It’s not bad enough that the 1,500 V-Buck Candyman skin is an amalgamation of Valentine’s Day candy boxes strung together to create a horrific Frankenstein’s monster of consumerism incarnate, but it’s also reactive.
