The first event of March is rolling out in Pokémon Go and with it comes a compass that players can use to search for legends—or at least that’s what Niantic is pushing as the theme.  The Searching for Legends event will run from March 9 to 14 and feature an increased number of Ground, Rock, and Steel-type Pokémon, including the Compass Pokémon, Nosepass. There isn’t much directly linking the event to the overarching Season of Legends, but you can encounter several rare and shiny Pokémon—and there’s new Special Research, too.

Esports is a core part of the gaming industry, which means The Game Awards dedicates at least a small portion of the programming to share some highlights from the entire year of competition—even if it is a very, very small segment.  Here are all of the esports award winners from The Game Awards 2021 and some of their accomplishments over the past calendar year. Niantic has finally reached the sunny shores of Alola, announcing the Season of Alola and multiple Pokémon from Generation VII that will be making their appearance in Pokémon Go for the first time in March.  To kick things off, a special Welcome to Alola event will have players encountering certain species of Pokémon from Sun and Moon from March 1 to 9, including Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Overall, there are 11 species from Alola being added to Pokémon Go on March 1, with Tapu Koko appearing in five-star raids, Comfey being an exclusive encounter for players in Hawaii, and both Rockruff and Jangmo-o available in new Eggs.

Streets is a popular map in Halo Infinite for good reason. This three-lane map gives teams a fair shot at each power weapon, and navigating the map is simple. Players will experience Slayer, Oddball, and Strongholds on Streets in the ranked playlist, meaning they’ll likely encounter this map at least once per play session.  Learning where each power weapon spawns will come naturally with practice and knowing the fastest way between objectives will eventually become second nature.

For VALORANT fans new to the tactical shooter genre, Hiko’s got you covered. The 100 Thieves captain explained the default strategy during his Twitch broadcast today, using a StarCraft analogy to bring the idea home.  “As you build your base out for Zerg, your actual creep starts expanding,” Hiko said. “You want to expand your creep, you want to get as much map control as you can, as safe as you really can, while also trying to get the other team to use their abilities and use their utility.

New World contains most of what players expect from an MMORPG, including long lines to kill bosses. Players from all over Aeternum will flock to Ebonrock Cavern to take down Overseer Zane, but the long trek is arguably the shortest part of the journey. Several missions will direct players to Ebonrock Cavern and the nearby Ebonrock Quarry. The Plans of the Pestilent main quest will send players to confront the Corrupted in the area, though they don’t have to take down the boss to complete this step.

In 2018, Riot Games removed League of Legends’ classic cursor from the game, replacing it with an updated cursor that comes standard for all players who install the game. And while League’s newer cursor has a more modern, streamlined feel to it, there’s something about the older version that brings about a wave of nostalgia.  Luckily, there’s an option in League’s in-game settings for players who want to experience that sense of nostalgia.

The key resources during Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost event are Spectral Pages and Manifested Pages. Earning these will allow you to unveil pages of the Book of Forgotten, letting Guardians access event-exclusive rewards. Upon arriving at the Traveler during the Festival of the Lost, speak to Eva Levante. She’ll welcome you to the festival and raise her eyebrows at the nearby Book of the Forgotten. You’ll get a festival mask from her, which unlocks your ability to earn Spectral Pages.

Sometimes, the letters just don’t fall correctly when you’re playing Wordle. Whatever starting word users select might not have any of the letters in that day’s Wordle or it might only give them one letter’s correct position. If this happens, users need to tread carefully, as they can run out of guesses fairly quickly with not much information to go on. If a user finds themselves in a specific sticky situation, such as having an “R” at the start and an “L” at the end of their word, then they can read the list of words below that share this same structure.

VALORANT’s mobile port is finally on the horizon. New leaked images from the game’s first test in China have surfaced.  See Valorant on Amazon As reported by Gamepur, mobile gaming leaker Danny INTEL posted a few images of VALORANT Mobile today, claiming they’re from the playtest that is now live in China. The photos show the game’s loading screen, in-game interface, home screen, and character selection. While the images are reminiscent of VALORANT’s PC version, there are a few significant changes for the mobile platform.
