A VALORANT test environment—also known as the Public Beta Environment—is open for a “limited number” of North American players, where they have the chance to test early builds and upcoming patches before they hit the live servers. Riot’s bi-weekly patch schedule isn’t without its issues, and according to the devs, they could use some “extra help” to identify bugs and “evaluate stability” before patches go live. This includes changes to agents, weapon balance, game systems, competitive, and other updates that are often found in the patch notes.

Elden Ring has finally launched and given fans a chance to explore its breathtaking open world and defeat terrifying monsters. But some players have decided to hone their skills in multiplayer. These activities range from battling enemies with friends to invading other players, and have been a staple of Dark Souls games since the beginning. On the eve of the NA VCT Stage Three: Challengers One open qualifier, Team Envy made a last-minute roster move, acquiring Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen on loan from FaZe Clan. Marved will be inserted directly into the starting lineup, with Jake “kaboose” McDonald moving to a reserve spot. Envy are considered one of the top teams in North America, with several deep runs in NA Challengers events under their belt, including Masters One and the Challengers Finals.

Annie is one of the original six League of Legends champions. She was the first champion to reach 12 skins but was later surpassed by Ezreal and Miss Fortune. Although Annie went through a number of small kit updates since the game’s release, her core have abilities remained the same. She’s a solid mid laner to pick up if you’re new to the role and can teach you the basics of last-hitting, farming, and positioning with her easy-to-use abilities.

Twitch announced today that Affiliates now have a new maximum of nine emote slots instead of the previous maximum of five. In addition to the nine regular emotes, Affiliates will also be able to upload five animated emotes, bringing the maximum amount of Tier One Subscriber emotes for Affiliates to 14. This is big news for long-time Twitch Affiliates who may struggle to compete with Twitch Partners for viewer subscriptions. Twitch Partners have always had significantly more perks to offer their subscribers, so Twitch’s announcement today helps Affiliates provide more value to their communities.

Mad Maggie will soon fully arrive in Apex Legends. Season 12’s new legend is a Salvonian fighter who attacked Kings Canyon back in season eight, drastically changing the map. With each new legend added to the game, a new actor behind the character joins the Apex family and its ever-expanding cast of talented voice actors.

Wordle is the word game that brought back word games. Created by Josh Wardle and now owned by the New York Times, the puzzle consists of a five-letter word from the English language, which players need to guess in up to six tries. The word is always the same for all players on the same calendar day, and there are no clues but the letters themselves, which will change colors depending on where they are in the word—or if they’re not in the word at all.

The April community day took place in Pokémon Go last month, introducing Stufful and Bewear to the game. In addition to adding two new Pokémon to the game, players could also complete a Special Research story and stack up on consumables through event bundles.  Though most players got to add the regular versions of Stufful and Bewear to their collections, seasoned collectors may be wondering whether they can also get their hands on the shiny versions of these two Pokémon.

Valve unveiled its upcoming foray into mobile gaming with in the form a new console called the Steam Deck, and it can do just about anything you might want. Not only can the Steam Deck be used on the go, but its special dock also serves as a USB-C hub that allows you to connect it to any number of peripherals. While on its official dock, the Steam Deck can connect to any TV that has DisplayPort 1.
