Pokémon UNITE just launched around the globe for the Nintendo Switch and fans are already starting to collect all the items that the game has to offer. The first MOBA experience for the franchise brings with it a plethora of changes to your standard Pokémon game. There’s a difference in how to obtain characters and items compared to traditional Pokémon games. In UNITE, players no longer venture out into the wilderness to capture their Pokémon, instead unlocking them by redeeming in-game currency available both by taking part in matches and in-app purchases.

Amazon and Smilegate’s upcoming MMO RPG Lost Ark is set for a week-long closed beta next month—and there will be a plethora of content for fans to test out. While the game’s release was delayed to 2022, players can hop into the beta starting Nov. 4 and play until Nov. 11. Among some of the changes that the beta will have from the recent alpha test are an increased level cap, expedition level cap, dungeons, and main story quests.

Fatalities are an iconic feature of the Mortal Kombat series that allows players to humiliate their opponents with a devastating finishing move. In Mortal Kombat 11, each character has two unique fatalities that enable players to decide how they want to gruesomely kill their enemy.  But only one fatality is unlocked for each character by default, and understanding how to unlock the second fatality can be confusing.  Players can navigate to the Kustomize menu to see which fatalities are currently available for each character.

Artifact tokens have the potential to play a major role in the Magic: The Gathering Standard meta thanks to Food tokens found in the upcoming release of Throne of Eldraine. Treasure Artifact tokens have influenced the Standard metagame for the last two years. With the release of the Throne of Eldraine (ELD) set on Oct. 4 comes Standard rotation, where only two of the 28 Magic cards that use Treasure tokens will survive (Smothering Tide and Rapacious Dragon).

It’s been nearly five months since Eric “Snip3down” Wrona left professional Apex Legends and returned to the esports scene that originally made him a legend, Halo. The FaZe Clan member left one of the most popular organizations in Apex, TSM, in the middle of Split One in the Apex Legends Global Series late last year. Halo Infinite promised a return to the glory days of competitive Halo and Snip3down didn’t want to be left behind.

Fortnite offers various forms of customization for its players: skins, harvesting tools, back blings, emotes, dances, and finally gliders. Each of these cosmetics items allows players to show a bit of personality and a sense of fashion. Epic Games adds a ton of cosmetic items throughout Fortnite seasons. While the game has a color-based rarity indicator, which usually determines the price of an item, the color-coding has been long forgotten when it comes to availability.

A slew of contenders have challenged Twitch for the right to be the premier home of streaming, but none have slain the Amazon-owned giant just yet. VALORANT players can now get their hands on the Glitchpop skins and customize their weapons with a fresh, futuristic look.  Riot Games teased the new skins in an interview with HITSCAN earlier this week and confirmed the popular skins were coming to more weapons.  The new Glitchpop skins are available for the Vandal, Phantom, Operator, Classic pistol, and a melee ax weapon. The first batch of Glitchpop skins was available for the Frenzy, Judge, Bulldog, Odin, and a melee knife, but the latest iteration adds slightly more popular weapons to the mix.

The 13th iteration of the Minecraft Championship, scheduled for Dec. 12 at 2pm CT, will be the last MCC event of 2020. Noxcrew is looking to use the break afterward to improve the event even further by fixing bugs and implementing a new game mode. The second season of MCC is planned to kick off around early 2021 and the team will share everything new about the event on its social media account. Green Guardians, featuring GeorgeNotFound, TapL, WilburSoot, and Ph1lzA, took the crown at the last MCC event.
