The controversy between Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and Andy “Reginald” Dinh continues. Former TSM players Marcus “Dyrus” Hill and Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneide defended TSM founder Reginald and his treatment of the organization’s League of Legends staff. “I can’t speak for the people after I retired, but nobody got abused during my time, we all griefed each other,” Dyrus said on Twitter. He defended Reginald and took a jab at Doublelift, stating his quotes that reflect that his ideology contradicts the claims he is making over the TSM founder.

Is it hard for you to fill up your Fortnite: Battle Royale squad with three players? Now imagine trying to do that with 16. A new function called Squad Formation was added to Fortnite overnight, as spotted by a few players on social media and confirmed later by Epic Games. It allows any person to create a lobby of 16 players with people on their playlist and queue for matches in big team modes, such as Team Rumble, Food Fight, and the promotional Avengers mode Endgame.

Gen.G, along with Galorants, Tampax, and Always, will host a tournament showcasing female-identifying talent called the Astral Clash. The tournament will pit some of the best NA female-identifying VALORANT players against each other to raise money for charity. “Tampax and Always are partnering with global esports organization Gen.G and Galorants, the largest VALORANT community of female-identifying and nonbinary gamers, to break down gendered stigmas and launch the Astral Clash tournament series with some of the best female-identifying VALORANT players in North America,” a press release reads.

Multiple Pokémon have received new evolution methods in Pokémon Legends: Arceus as a result of the removal of trade evolutions. Those that required trading while holding an item have had their evolution methods streamlined so trainers can obtain their powerful evolutions much faster. Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon, gained the ability to evolve into Steelix in Pokémon Gold and Silver. Since then, Onix has only been able to evolve into this form by trading it while holding the Metal Coat item.

Right after purchasing a new game on the Epic Games Store, the natural instinct of gamers will be to download it. In most cases, the download process should start without any error unless you receive a notification that says the game you’re trying to install or play is unavailable. The “Game Unavailable” error often shows up whenever Epic’s servers are down and it gets fixed fairly quickly, sometimes within minutes. It can also appear on its own, however.

Whenever a new content patch rolls out, the number of players logging into Warzone increases drastically. Not only do old players come back to try out the new patch but the marketing efforts during the release of the patch also draw in new players. Under heavy load, the servers start cracking under pressure causing players to receive errors. The “Unable to Establish Secure Connection to Host” is one of the many server-related errors that players can run into whenever the servers are having a bad time.

Due to “recent developments,” Niantic has announced it will be postponing the Pokémon Air Adventures collaboration that was scheduled to begin on July 22.  This collaboration was supposed to launch as a tie-in with the new Pokémon Air Adventures travel initiative in Japan, which will feature Pokémon-themed jets starting with a Pikachu, in partnership with Japanese aviation company Skymark. It will also include Pokémon designed buses, trains, and airport gates, along with in-flight merchandise.

League of Legends, like many online video games, has its fair share of problems, especially when it comes to players leaving games early or dodging games entirely. But now, Riot Games has unveiled its new plans to increase punishments for both offenses, while also explaining its thought process behind the additions. In today’s blog post, Riot outlined what it has in store to immediately combat the escalation of queue dodging and said it shouldn’t be so easily accessible “that players treat it like a tool in their toolkit.

A new beta release hit CS:GO last night, bringing small changes to the infamous Negev light machine gun. The Negev now has improved accuracy while burst firing and reduced accuracy recovery time. This means that the Negev’s “laser beam” accuracy can be achieved much quicker. To balance the changes that make it more powerful, movement speed and armor penetration were decreased so that fully armored players cannot be killed in one bullet.

Because the Gym Challenge in Pokémon Sword and Shield is based on competitive sports tournaments, all of the competitors are required to wear jerseys with individual numbers on them. But Game Freak has spiced up the tradition by making all of the Gym Leaders’ numbers into slight puns.  As a player, you can put in whatever number you want within three digits to customize your own jersey and give it a special meaning.
