Balance changes made within the Teamfight Tactics 12.2 update left several comps at top-tier status while creating room for new ones to emerge.  Patch 12.2 applied slight nerfs to Talon and Shaco with little to no effect on their playability within Syndicate and Imperial comps with Assassins. Attack damage comps continue to reign supreme with Ability power builds taking a back seat. Hextech trait Augments continue to improve within Patch 12.

In Yu-Gi-Oh!, there are two separate formats that players can participate in: Advanced and Traditional. These formats determine the eligible cards that are legal for competition. Compared to other card games, like Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering, which have varying modes that determine a card’s legality based on its release, Yu-Gi-Oh! allows cards from the first set all the way to the present. While this could lead to issues with design space and balance, any potential problem is remedied by banning, limiting, or semi-limiting a card that proves to be too powerful or consistent.

Enchantments are reaching new heights in Magic: The Gathering with the cycle of Kaldheim Aura Runes.  Two new enchantment types were introduced to Magic within the Kaldheim set: Rune and Shard. Runes are an evolved version of auras, able to enchant either a creature or Equipment. Each of the five Runes in the KHM cycle represents a Magic color and draws a card upon entering the battlefield, creating new opportunities for Constellation builds.

You can customize your Fortnite: Battle Royale character in so many ways. From the outfit you wear to your back bling and emotes, there’s no shortage of creative ways to deck out and differentiate yourself from the 99 other competitors. Fortnite has a lot of cosmetics, but unlike other games, many of those cosmetics aren’t available for purchase for very long. The game’s Item Shop typically only keeps things around for one day—it resets around 6pm CT—before moving on to the next set of purchasable items.

The LCK had the chance to solidify themselves as the best region on the planet this year but failed to capitalize on the opportunity after coming up against the LPL in the finals of the 2021 League of Legends World Championship. In retaliation, the region has undergone a roster reshuffle since the free agency window opened in November. Darkrai, the Pitch-Black Pokémon, has the power to place anyone in an endless nightmare, tormenting them until they eventually succumb to their fate. This Mythical Pokémon and its fearsome power can now be encountered in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, though successfully adding it to your team may be a difficult task. Starting April 1, players can obtain the Members Card key item via the in-game Mystery Gift feature, which is required to eventually battle Darkrai.

All Apex Legends players will get to learn the ins and outs of all the maps in the game as they continue to play. With enough time, players will eventually develop preferences for their favorite maps, whether they want to take a look at the scenic sights of Olympus or Storm Point or just don’t feel like landing on King’s Canyon. Checking the map rotation while logged into Apex is as easy as going to the main menu, but players may want to look at it without booting up the game or want to plan their gaming sessions in advance.

Apex Legends is sending players on a scavenger hunt as part of its new in-game teaser. Legends can finally unlock the large platform in the Firing Range, but it’s going to take a bit of running around and some searching to find the passcode. The full teaser has three parts: getting an invitation (a keycard), finding the holo-sprays, and unlocking the passcode at the Firing Range. It’s a straightforward process, but getting it done can be tricky if you don’t know what to look out for.

A new Call of Duty has arrived, meaning the lengthy weapon camo grind is here once again. Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer has three mastery camos to unlock and they’re similar to ones in previous games. There’s Gold, which sports your gun with a golden sheen, and then there’s Diamond, encrusting each weapon with a rhinestone appearance. This year’s ultimate mastery camo for multiplayer is called Atomic, giving the gun a trippy, animated vibe, featuring a slew of funky and psychedelic colors.
