It’s called the Whitley, and it’s a beast. “The Whitley represents one of the first machine guns ever used in warfare, rivaling its Battle Pass brother for a strong mid- to long-range tool across all three game modes,” Activision said.

Niantic are currently in the process of investigating a bug in Pokémon Go that is affecting Friendship XP in the app.  This bug has been impacting players around the world for several days, but the developers have finally released an official warning and asked any affected players to reach out to Niantic Support.  Trainers, we're currently investigating a bug affecting Friendship XP. One Piece remains one of the biggest media franchises on the planet, and Bandai Namco is making another attempt to turn the popular manga and anime into a modern video game with the RPG One Piece Odyssey.  The game, which is being developed by ILCA and published by Bandai, is set to release later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.  Odyssey will include an original story written by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, along with several characters and creatures created specifically for the game.

Just two days after launching the mobile game Rocket League Sideswipe, a 2D version of the popular Rocket League car-soccer game, Psyonix has officially pushed Sideswipe’s first season of content live.  Sideswipe, which is available as a free-to-play title on iOS and Android, is exiting its pre-season and boosting right into season one alongside a new crossover event with Rocket League.  With this Rocket League Crossover Event, players will be able to unlock items in both games.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the latest loot and shoot title from Gearbox Software that invites players into the realm of Pandora. While this game isn’t exactly a strict Borderlands story, players are still eager to hop into this canonical adventure in that world.  Players eager to pre-load the game will likely be able to do so soon, even if there’s been no official word from the developer for some platforms. The official Twitter page for Wonderlands posted yesterday that Xbox platforms could start pre-loading the game.

Vikendi is coming to PUBG Mobile in version 1.6. The new update has already dropped into the game, but the snowy map hasn’t arrived yet. This is because it will released a bit later. Tencent confirmed that Vikendi will be added to PUBG Mobile on Oct. 8. The map will be added for a limited time and will be taken down on Nov. 15. An unknown issue mistakenly banned hundreds of Apex Legends players this morning. EA acknowledged the issue and resolved it in a matter of hours, according to its official support account. Social media was flooded with reports from players who claimed they were banned for no reason. The moderation team for r/apexlegends, the largest subreddit dedicated to the game, went as far as creating a specific thread for users to discuss their ban, and Steam discussion pages also brimmed with reports of wrongful suspensions.

Franco “Replays” Sicilia is a content creator from Canada who specializes in Fortnite. He’s also been a streamer for FaZe clan since 2015. Though Replays’ popularity sky-rocketed after the release of Fortnite, he already had a small fan base on YouTube. Until 2017, he was mostly uploading Call of Duty montages showing off epic snipes and plays. His challenge videos and collaborations with household names like Nick Eh 30, TurkeyLips, and SpaceLyon allowed his channel to grow further.

ArcSystemWorks dropped a rather sizable update for Guilty Gear Strive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC that addresses several network issues, keyboard configuration problems on Steam, and more.  Version 1.05 changed some fan-requested things too, including the small detail of Strive’s title screen playing the game’s opening movie if a player remains idle for too long. A Korean voice-over has also been added to the game, and can be selected in the game’s settings.

EA Sports added a Showdown 95-rated version of Luís “Nani” Cunha from Orlando City to FIFA 21 on Aug. 21. It’s obtainable through FIFA 21 Ultimate Team’s squad-building challenges (SBC) menu. EA also added a 95-rated version of André-Pierre Gignac from Tigres. These players will play against each other in the real-life MLS All-Stars vs. Liga MX All-Stars match on Wednesday, Aug. 25. The winner will receive a +2 overall in-game upgrade. You have until that match happens to complete this SBC.
