Making Rocket League free-to-play has been on Psyonix’s agenda for a while, and the developer finally pulled the trigger on Sept. 20, 2020. Alongside removing the game’s price tag, Psyonix also introduced the cross-platform feature, allowing Rocket League players from different gaming devices to play with each other. These two changes boosted the game’s popularity by a nice margin, and the game’s community grew even bigger over time. The biggest event of the 2021 Call of Duty League season is finally here. The 2021 CDL Playoffs, also commonly known as CoD Champs, are underway. After several months and five stages of regular-season action, the top eight Call of Duty League franchises will battle it out from Aug. 19 to 22 for their share of the $2.5 million prize pool. After a year of hopeful fantasy sets, darkness comes to Magic: The Gathering with the horror-inspired Innistrad: Midnight Hunt which is one of two sets based in Innistrad this fall. Innistrad: Midnight Hunt is scheduled for release on Sept. 24. This set is the third return to Innistrad since Eldritch Moon in 2016. The fall release is shortly followed by Innistrad: Crimson Vow on Nov. 19. Rotation begins with the release of Midnight Hunt.

World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic’s release date was announced today—and it’s just around the corner. With a pre-patch introducing new races and classes, there will be a lot to do to prepare for the expansion’s launch on June 1. The WoW TBC Classic pre-patch will officially begin on May 18. That will give players two weeks to take advantage of a new PvP honor system and leveling changes prior to the Dark Portal opening.
