Gambit’s Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin was one of the standout players at VCT Champions in 2021. The 19-year-old was key to the team’s continued success throughout the competitive year. Known for his unique skillset on Viper and Cypher, the talented young Russian is now considered to be one of the very best VALORANT players in the world. Not only does nAts record incredible numbers, often top-fragging for his team, but he’s also capable of controlling and dictating the pace of the game with his intelligent reads on the meta.

Jared “zombs” Gitlin is “stepping down” from the active Sentinels VALORANT roster, the organization announced today. Zombs will move to the inactive roster ahead of a potential transfer or move to content creation. The 23-year-old was a part of the original core of players who joined Sentinels when the organization entered VALORANT in late April 2020, with only Hunter “SicK” Mims and Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan now remaining (Michael “dapr” Gulino joined just over a month later).

Streamer Quin69 has received his third Twitch ban—this time due to hateful conduct. Quin69 has seen multiple Twitch bans since the start of this year. On January 14, the streamer was banned after going on a rant that many felt was misogynistic, and less than a month later was again suspended, that time for showing NSFW content during a media share stream. Today, the streamer received his third ban from the platform.

Sometimes, when it comes time to roll up with the squad for some rounds of Call of Duty, a regular old assault rifle just won’t cut it. Genshin Impact just released their highly anticipated “When the Sakura Bloom” version 2.5 update with a ton of exciting new features. This update, released on Feb. 16, brings players a lot of new content including five-star character Yae Miko, a few quests, two new weapons, unique events, and more. Raiden Shogun is also reappearing as a new weekly boss. Yae Miko arrives Five-star Electro Catalyst character Yae Miko is now playable in Genshin Impact.

Throughout a Fortnite match, players will get their hands on various healing supplies. Compared to bandages or med kits, consuming fish is the best way to gain health, shield, or buffs since they have a shorter animation. While you’ll be able to catch most fish with a regular fishing rod, you’ll need a Pro Fishing Rod to catch the rarer fish in the game. You’ll only be able to tell what type of fish you get when it’s in your inventory.

Special Research tasks that will let players encounter the Mythical Victini are rolling out now for all Pokémon Go players.  The Investigate a Mysterious Energy Special Research will be live heading into October and give rewards like Pokémon encounters, helpful items, and more.  Most of the tasks are loosely tied to the Fire/Psychic-type Mythical, in that you’ll need to capture Fire and Psychic-types as part of the research, though some later tasks actually directly involve your new Victini.

Niantic is switching things up by adding a new kind of Community Day event to the rotation in Pokémon Go, Community Day Classic.  The first of these new events is called Classic: Back to Bulbasaur and brings things back to the start with the very first Pokémon in the Pokédex on Jan. 22.  As always, players can enjoy the usual three-hour lure and incense extensions during the event, as well as triple catch experience for capturing any Pokémon.

Apex Legends is celebrating its third anniversary with the Anniversary collection event. Players can enjoy the festivities and get their rewards until March 1, with squad skins, specific login rewards, community-designed items as part of the prize track, as well as a new Prestige skin for Bloodhound. Prestige skins are Apex’s latest experimentation, shifting the Heirloom pool with a transforming skin. Bloodhound’s Prestige skin starts at tier one, but players can increase it by dealing damage with no time limit.
