With the launch of each Call of Duty title, a new ruleset is eventually released by the Call of Duty League. But every year, pro players implement their own unofficial rules, more commonly known as Gentlemen’s Agreements (GAs). If a weapon, attachment, item, or setting is deemed uncompetitive or overpowered and isn’t officially banned by the league, pro players will vote in a private chat with representatives from all 12 teams to decide if the item will be unofficially banned.

Big changes are taking place at the Teamfight Tactics Gizmos and Gadgets World Championship, from the number of players competing to the announcement of a final last chance qualifier for Western regions.  The TFT Set Six/6.5 World Championship will take place from April 29 to May 1, showcasing 32 of the best players from around the globe. Worlds will run for a total of three days, shaving the field in half at the end of each day.

Those familiar with MOBA games were treated with plenty of familiar game mechanics and gameplay choices when the first game of the style in the hugely popular Pokémon franchise, Pokémon UNITE, launched on Switch earlier this week. With five players on a team and just two lanes, the game encourages one player to jungle for their team. Jungling is a term used for a player who takes down enemy minions from within the wild area between the two main lanes to collect Aeos Energy and score points for their team.

For the third year in a row, weapon blueprint codenames are back in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Inexplicably, sometimes while listed in-game, weapons are only shown by their codename. This happens especially often in the in-game store when browsing through bundles of cool-looking weapons. But sometimes, it’s difficult to know which gun you’re even looking at. If you’re going to spend hard-earned money on a bundle to buy a cool gun, shouldn’t it be a gun that you know you want to use?

PGL has unveiled the full schedule for the Antwerp CS:GO Major, the first Valve-sponsored tournament of 2022. The $1 million event will be played in Antwerp, Belgium from May 9 to 22 and feature three stages. The 16 Challengers and Contenders teams start the competition in the Challengers stage and the top eight advance to the Legends stage, where the eight teams with Legend status will be waiting. These two stages use a Swiss system format that lasts four days each.

Destiny 2’s season 17 sparked the curiosity of fans because of the amount of official information surrounding it before its release—or, more accurately, because of the lack of it. The Season of the Haunted trailer was scheduled to release just two hours before the season’s launch, but Bungie put it up early after a Japanese version of the trailer surfaced online, revealing the storyline that follows Season of the Risen and The Witch Queen, including gameplay changes and the season pass.

Helioptile will make its Pokémon Go debut during the new Power Plant event, meaning players will have another species to catch and evolve if they want to keep their Pokédex up to date.  The Electric/Normal-type from Kalos will be found more frequently during the Power Plant event, which will run from Jan. 19 to Feb. 1. And during that period, getting the necessary resources to evolve your Helioptile into a Heliolisk will also be easier.

Like many other online games, New World is giving away free cosmetics and items as promotion deals. New World is getting ready for its launch on Aug. 31, and the game already has a deal lined up with Twitch to promote its release. Twitch viewers who have their Steam account linked to their Twitch account will be eligible to grab a copy of the Golden Rage armor skin by tuning into New World streams. Before you get into your Twitch settings, you’ll need to sign into New World’s official website with your Twitch account.

To climb Apex Legends’ ranked ladders, players must understand each of the game’s characters and their respective playstyles. As one of the battle royale’s designated defense legends, Caustic relies on tricks to best his enemies, and with the right setup, anyone can easily secure the win with this Toxic Trapper. Before playing Caustic, players will need to first unlock him. Caustic is one of the game’s many characters that needs to be purchased before playing, and players can do so by unlocking the Toxic Trapper for 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins.

Winning the 2022 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational hasn’t stopped Royal Never Give Up from making roster moves ahead of the LPL Summer Split. RNG has announced it will be swapping top laners with Bilibili Gaming, as Breathe will join the team in a starting role for the second half of the season. Bin, who served as RNG’s top laner throughout the Spring Split, will join Bilibili for the summer.
