The Nintendo 3DS was Nintendo’s final “true handheld” hardware before the Nintendo Switch merged the company’s two models into a hybrid console and was a more than worthy successor to the massively popular Nintendo DS system, selling 75.94 million since launching in early 2011. Production on new models ceased in September 2020, and soon the 3DS will officially be retired. Nintendo plans to close the system’s eShop entirely in March 2023, along with the Wii U eShop.

Valve’s Steam Deck is a versatile machine. While it masquerades as a handheld, it’s really a PC with plenty of flexibility when it comes to customization and accessorizing. Along with that flexibility comes the ability to expand storage, add on headphones, and more. The best Steam Deck accessories are the ones you can plugin and use right off the rip with minimal configuration. That means looking for proper device connections and appropriate storage options is a must.

Much like one of Blizzard’s most recognizable characters, players may also want to change their names in Blizzard’s various worlds. Now, all players will have the option to do so for free—but only once. To commemorate Overwatch’s resident cowboy receiving a new identity, Blizzard is providing all Battle.net users the opportunity to change their BattleTag without charge. Between today and Nov. 5, all players that do not currently have a free name change stored on their account will be able to request one through Blizzard’s name change request service.

Although some Lost Ark fans might be busy completing the new content introduced alongside May’s major update, another weekly maintenance and patch went live on June 16. Some issues resurfaced following May’s update, but most of the bugs were fixed in the update that was implemented on June 2. As such, this update is much lighter than the previous ones. Players might have to wait a few weeks before being able to test out the new content planned for June, according to the game’s latest roadmap.

A new CS:GO patch hit the live servers on the evening of March 28 and Valve has released the full update notes. This patch focused on fixing some bugs and changing some details of Ember and Vineyard, the two community-created Danger Zone maps that were added to CS:GO in February 2021. Danger Zone is a battle royale mode that was pushed in December 2018 and can feature up to 18 players on a server.

Transferring characters from one server to another is a common feature found in MMOs like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, and many more. And it’s now available in New World, Amazon’s new open-world MMO. New World attracted hundreds of thousands of players when it launched on Sept. 27, 2021, only to leave many of them waiting and wondering for hours on end in lengthy server queues. Amazon has acknowledged the issues that many players have experienced and is now actively looking to add new servers and expand the capacity of the existing worlds.

Any Madden player will tell you that while passing is the best way to score quick points, being able to run the ball at will is a valuable skill. It can save you on late down and short situations, and help you burn time off the clock when you need to. In those situations, knowing how to stop the run is very important. It’s relatively easy to fool the AI on a read-option, and you can’t manually control every defensive end the QB reads.

Viego, League of Legends’ newest (and edgiest) champion, is now live with the release of Patch 11.2. The jungler is League’s 154th champion and will be available for 7,800 blue essence on release. His price will drop to 6,300 after a week. For those willing to splash some cash, he’ll also be available for 975 RP. If his base skin just isn’t quite cutting it for you, he’ll also release with a skin in the Lunar Beast line in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

There’s more to life in Lost Ark than demon-slaying and dungeon running. There’s a joy to be found harvesting materials from various sources across the numerous and diverse regions you’ll be exploring. You don’t have to worry about advancing your skills immediately after character creation, but after progressing a bit through the main story you will eventually reach a location called Lakebar Village where you’ll have to construct an important item.
