PUBG Mobile’s update 1.9 will launch later today with a lot of new features to the battle royale game. The main highlight of the update is the anniversary celebration which is happening to mark four years of the game’s release. PUBG Mobile was released on March 19, 2018. Players who update the game before March 22 will get 3,000 BP, 100 AG, and a Nocturnal Rhapsody Helmet (three days) as a reward.

In an interview with Bloomberg’s Cecilia D’Anastasio, former longtime Twitch executive Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham gave his opinion on why the streaming platform has seen an exodus in leadership. Previously the head of creator development, djWHEAT left Twitch in January 2022. The streaming industry veteran pointed to Twitch’s recent hiring of big-tech employees for the recent internal dissonance. “We went down the Silicon Valley route, hiring from Facebook, from Twitter,” he stated.

It’s the second week of Overwatch’s 2022 Lunar New Year event and that means there’s a new weekly challenge for players to complete that unlocks a slew of Soldier: 76-themed cosmetics. The weekly challenge begins today and can be completed until next Tuesday, Feb. 8. The exact time that the challenge ends depends on what region you’re in. Soldier: 76’s new Epic-quality Auspicious skin has a metallic blue base color for his pants and top.

It’s been just a month since Call of Duty: Vanguard launched on platforms worldwide, but its first content season is already here. Season one, while adding the Caldera map to Warzone, also brings a battle pass and lots of new content to Vanguard. There are several new maps and operators, but the battle pass is where the grind is truly rewarded for players who level up during the season.

Fortnite’s newest season launched on March 20 and brought changes to fundamental parts of the game. One of the most significant is the temporary removal of the build mode that’s become a core mechanic in Fortnite. The reason for the removal of the ability is a result of the Imagined Order’s invasion of the island. However, while the Seven work to return the feature, players will need to learn how to fight without it.

IEM Katowice, one of the biggest CS:GO tournaments of 2022, is set to kick off soon. Twenty-four Counter-Strike teams have traveled to Katowice, Poland to fight for their share of the $1 million prize pool. Sixteen of them, though, will be attending the play-in stage on Feb. 15 and 16, and only half of them will progress to the main stage, which will run from Feb. 17 to 27.

Earlier this week, Windows 11 began rolling out to users in some regions of the globe. Systems that want to upgrade to Windows 11 would need TPM 2.0 support, a component that improves the overall security of a system running the new Windows OS. Summit1g used his stream yesterday to apologize for comments made by his girlfriend, streamer LilChiipmunk, regarding fellow streamer Sweet Anita. After seeing a clip from Sweet Anita’s stream earlier this week, LilChiipmunk expressed her displeasure with Twitch allowing Anita, who has Tourette’s syndrome, to stream after a clip arose of her saying the n-word on her channel.  The since-deleted tweet by LilChiipmunk said that by allowing Anita to stream, Twitch as a platform is “promoting this hatred.

Trainwreck has become the premier gambling streamer on Twitch by often playing high-stakes games with a gallery of other gamblers. Although he has lost large amounts, the Twitch streamer shockingly hit an $8.7 million jackpot today, which is his largest win ever recorded on his channel. In complete disbelief after getting his max win, Trainwreck jumped out of his chair and celebrated.
