The League of Legends gameplay development team has introduced several changes that are coming to the game in Patch 11.17. While a strong majority of the balance changes will focus on tuning adjustments to the game’s roster of champions, many of the game’s systems and items will also be receiving a series of buffs and nerfs in the patch.  The most notable item to receive nerfs in the upcoming patch will be Divine Sunderer, which has been receiving plenty of attention from players on both the solo queue ladder and the professional stage.

There’s no need to introduce the Scuttle Crab from League of Legends. The neutral monster is a valuable resource for every jungler in the game, providing vision, gold, and extra movement speed in the river. But now, in Layvee’s parody champion spotlight video, the Scuttle Crab has become Scott, possibly the most overpowered champion. The content creator turned the Scuttle Crab into a League champ, giving him a unique set of abilities.

An Overwatch fan artist has created an epic new look for Echo, including a video, screengrabs, and concept art of a new skin. Artist Evanyla created a skin for Echo that they call Dark Circuit Echo. The skin pays homage to Echo’s robotic history (and players’ gaming PCs) with RGB elements, fans, cooling pipes, and other computer staples. It features gorgeous rainbow elements at the shoulders and at Echo’s fingertips alongside a sharp, angular redesign for her wings.

VALORANT will add the ultimate tribute to Lance “Finest” Arcilla, also known as the creator of the famous meme “Revive Me Jett,” by immortalizing his gamer tag as a title for anyone to use.  Finest died earlier this month at just 21 years old, as confirmed on Facebook by his mother Leny Arcilla. No details were released about the cause of Finest’s death. In early 2020, Finest started a joke that would echo through the entire VALORANT community—he called out for the remaining duelist on his team, Jett, to revive him, leaving his teammates confused.

The Cloud9 VALORANT trio of Anthony “vanity” Malaspina, Nathan “leaf” Orf, and Erick “Xeppaa” Bach will go back to their roots this weekend. The North Americans will come back to CS:GO just to play in the ESEA Spring Cash Cup Two, according to Dust2.us. Vanity, leaf, and Xeppaa made a name for themselves in 2020 while they played under the Chaos organization. Together, they won North American online tournaments during the pandemic such as IEM Beijing in November and DreamHack Masters Winter.

Pokémon Home allows players to trade almost any Pokémon with players from around the world using a slightly revamped Global Trade System. But just like the GTS in older games, there are a few notable exclusions from the list that you’re unable to trade.  That list basically only involves Mythical Pokémon from each of the generations that were only obtainable via event or other methods outside of the main game. 

Overwatch 2 is going to be a massive mix of new content being spliced into the original Overwatch’s formula, including a change to five players per team instead of six for PvP.  Among the new content that’s been confirmed for Overwatch’s next installment are several new maps that will be added to the rotation, alongside new modes like Push. As of now, there are seven maps that have been confirmed for Overwatch 2.

Magic: The Gathering’s latest set, Strixhaven: School of Mages, introduced a couple of new educationally themed mechanics with “Lesson” spells and permanents that can “Learn.” Lesson spells are normal instant or sorcery spells. But when a player uses the Learn mechanic, they can pull Lesson spells from out of the game and put them in their hand. There are 20 Lesson spells in the set with varying degrees of power and each draft archetype has an equal number of Lessons.

For Magic: The Gathering‘s third trip to Innistrad, two new mechanics put a Creature-based approach at the forefront with Coven and Decayed. Both mechanics will be key parts of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt‘s Limited format and should be major players in the upcoming post-rotation Standard. Decayed takes advantage of the graveyard and will play well with the set’s Zombie synergies. Decayed Zombie tokens come in as 2/2 Creatures that can’t block and are sacrificed at the end of combat if they attack.

Former League of Legends pro Doublelift gave an in-depth update to his fans about the future of his streaming career, what he plans to do moving forward, and why he’ll be taking an elongated break from solo queue for the time being in a recent vlog. The 28-year-old veteran first revealed that he and his girlfriend, TSM president Leena Xu, caught the Delta variant of COVID-19. He said they’re both fully vaccinated but still caught it.
