More skins are coming to a popular League of Legends skin line, turning five champions into fantastical versions of themselves. Riot Games revealed that the Arcana thematic, which was first released in 2021, will be returning this year, giving another handful of champions designs based on tarot cards. Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Hecarim, and Ryze will headline the Arcana skins this year, expected to release alongside Patch 12.7 and soon to be tested on the PBE.

Riot Games is once again allowing players to vote for the next League of Legends champion to receive a visual and gameplay update (VGU).  League fans and players will get to decide which of the nominated champions will receive the next update. The poll will open on Jan. 7 and it will be closed on Jan. 19, which gives League players 12 days to express their choice. The champions who are eligible for a VGU this year are Shyvana, Skarner, Nocturne, Tryndamere, and Kog’Maw.

Kazuya Mishima is now available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, bringing with him an incredibly complex fighting style and the 12.0 update for the game.  The Tekken representative is the fifth fighter joining Ultimate as part of the Fighters Pass Vol. Two and continues the trend of series creator Masahiro Sakurai and his team injecting as much personality and flavor from each character’s series as part of the crossover.  In this case, Kazuya has more than 30 unique attacks, his Devil Gene boost for certain actions, and other characteristics and game mechanics that are pulled straight from Tekken.

The Apex Legends team knows how to make a good skin, and in 2021, players were treated to some of the best cosmetics on offer to date. From the Fight Night collection event all the way to the Ash Launch Bundle, Apex Coins and Crafting Metals flowed freely over the past 12 months as players tried to get some of their favorites.  Since Respawn has also brought back past skins for special sales and events more regularly this year, missing out on some of these skins hurts, but there’s always the possibility they’ll be available again in the future.

In Overwatch, you’re only allowed to choose two Damage, or DPS, heroes in every game. It’s an important choice. It’s important to have synergy with the rest of your team, but it’s also important to pick a hero that’s going to be dealing high damage and killing the enemy team. Apex Legends’ season seven quest has started to point toward a new part of the Frontier. Salvo is a mysterious planet that just gave in to the Syndicate—and it could have big repercussions for the evolving story. So far, only two pieces of lore have mentioned the new planet: a chapter of the Family Portrait season quest and an Easter egg-filled image of Wattson’s room. Her desk contains a memo from Syndicate PR director Jacob Young, but the quest introduces the planet in a less subtle manner.

Each new Destiny 2 season brings more than just a new narrative. In addition to all the balance changes, the maximum power level also increases, giving all the Guardians more room to improve upon their already successful formula. From 300 to 1300, the maximum power level keeps on growing. Countless adventures await players to reward them with new loot, helping them keep up with the ever-moving Destiny 2 universe. Starting with the Season of the Undying, using Pinnacle gear has been the prime way of increasing your power level behind the maximum cap, and you’ll need to complete certain missions to get your hands on Pinnacle gear.

Savathûn’s Throne World is an enormous location in Destiny 2, and that’s even before you take into account the secrets and obscure twists and turns in the area. Players should get acquainted with the zone, because The Witch Queen‘s campaign will send players to several different spots in Savathûn’s lair. And the Altar of Reflection might be among the hardest to find. The main campaign will show you a part of the way to the Altar of Reflection, but the game will task you with going there twice throughout the story in The Witch Queen: once after you have to do the Lightblade Strike, and another after finishing The Cunning.
