Apex Legends is celebrating its second anniversary and the legends are dressed up to party. The Anniversary Collection Event is bringing a slew of new cosmetics to the battle royale, along with a hefty crafting discount. The new collection contains 24 recolors of popular skins for several legends. The visuals share a crimson and gold theme and offer a host of cosmetics for a total of 13 characters that range from the eight members of the original cast, plus the new legends up to season five.

It’s once again that time of the year for Call of Duty fans. The competitive side of the player base will have their eyes set on the new multiplayer mode, and ones with friends separated over to multiple platforms may wonder whether this year’s titles will be crossplay compatible.

Evil Geniuses has released Daniel “roca” Gustaferri, Brandon “BRANTED” Ballard, and Nolan “Temperature” Pepper from its VALORANT team, the North American organization revealed yesterday. This leaves EG’s active VALORANT roster with just two players—Kelden “Boostio” Pupello and Mike “pho” Panza. Temperature joined the North Americans in January 2021 and played his last match for EG in August, having been loaned to Gen.G in September to partake in the Last Chance Qualifier.

God of War just dropped on PC. And while the game is graphically stunning some two years after its original PlayStation 4 launch, some PCs might need a bit of help squeezing out extra performance. Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) can help out by rendering games at a lower resolution before upscaling them to a higher one while maintaining and improving frame rate. Differences between DLSS and FSR There are a few key differences between each upscaling technology, with the main one being that Nvidia’s DLSS is the only one that has the advantage of being AI-based.

Guile, and all of his flash-kicking goodness, is the newest fighter confirmed to be making a return in Street Fighter 6. Capcom showed off the first look at his gameplay today.  With a return to an American airfield and a classic comb of the hair, Guile’s new look combines elements from multiple iterations of the character and even shows off how he will use the Drive System in this new game to open up his gameplay.

The second week of challenges in Fortnite Chapter Two’s second season is now live, asking players to once again make use of the new areas littered across the map. For one challenge, you’ll need to hide in secret passages in three different matches. These secret passages can be found in the new hideout areas spread across the map. In all of the hideouts, there are a series of portapotties or dumpsters that you can jump in that warp you to a new area.

The rising trend of emotes in video games, both single and multiplayer, has continued in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Developer Gearbox Software implemented emotes in its last game, Borderlands 3, to give players a way to express themselves in a non-verbal way. The emotes were a hit with fans, so the developers brought them back for Tiny Tina’s Bunkers and Badasses adventure. While the emotes are included with the game, some fans might have no idea they’re there.

Thanks to Pokémon Home and some crazy, convoluted trading mechanics, trainers can finally get Meltan and Melmetal in Pokémon Sword and Shield—but it’ll require you to own another Pokémon game in the series. Since Pokémon Go transfers aren’t available to Pokémon Home at time of writing, you’ll need to go through a long drawn-out process using the Let’s Go games to add these creatures to your teams. First, you need to have captured a Meltan or Melmetal in Pokémon Go through the weird mystery box feature of the game and transferred either Pokémon to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!

Battlefield 2042’s Orbital map features a massive rocket in the center that sometimes launches during a match, adding an exciting element as intense battles rage across the map. Players can also destroy the rocket if they act fast and have enough firepower, introducing another level of destruction to the chaos. Some players are confused about what causes the rocket to launch and if there are certain steps you need to take to launch it into space.
