It’s finally October, Halloweeniacs. That means it’s time for cool weather, leaves changing color, pumpkin spice everything, and the return of Overwatch’s Halloween Terror event. Arguably Overwatch’s best event for skin designs, Junkenstein’s Revenge and other seasonal modes will likely be making a return as well. But the most important thing about the autumnal celebration is new costumes for our heroes. A concept artist by the name of Dana Herberg has grabbed the season by its haunches and crafted an excellent concept for a new skin for Mercy, who already has probably the best skin in the game with her Witch outfit from the original Halloween Terror event five years ago.

Over the course of his six-year career in Counter-Strike, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken has gone from being a no-name teenager to one of the most respected players in North America. Since joining Team Liquid in 2017 and FaZe Clan in 2021, the 21-year-old has won tournament after tournament and cemented himself as one of the top players in the game. After a month of frequenting the NoPixel GTA RP public server, xQc has finally been whitelisted again on the original NoPixel 3.0 private server. In his latest stream, xQc shared the good news with his audience, stating that he had been cleared to play his cop character Pierre Paul on the private server, but could also play the notorious criminal character X if he chose to do so. “I guess I could bring back X if I decide to but I’m not going to do that,” xQc said.

The Lush Jungle event is rolling out in Pokémon Go, which means players will encounter even more Pokémon from the Alola region, including Fomantis, Lurantis, and the guardian deity of Akala Island, Tapu Lele. As an important location from Sun and Moon, Lush Jungle Fomantis and its evolution Lurantis play a big role in the event as they make their debut.  Other Pokémon you would expect to find in a jungle habitat like Sudowoodo, Ferroseed, and Paras are going to be appearing more frequently in the wild.

New content and the next piece of the main storyline are finally on their way in Genshin Impact following an extended Version 2.6 and lengthy Version 2.7 delay. Version 2.7, which is titled “Hidden Dreams in the Depths,” is set to launch on May 31 after the usual update maintenance takes place. Keeping to the usual pattern preceding updates, miHoYo premiered an exclusive special program livestream teasing what’s to come in Version 2.

As much as things tend to change in Destiny 2, they also stay the same, and the Iron Banner is no different. The Iron Banner is much different now, featuring a new reputation system, and even a new location in the Tower. Even Lord Saladin has returned with a new moniker after the events of Season of the Risen. In Season of the Haunted, a new Iron Banner quest called “Forging Iron” tasks you to head into the Iron Banner in Crucible and fight against fellow Guardians.

Cosmetic microtransactions have become an integral part of the gaming industry—and one of the leaders of gaming is the Call of Duty franchise. A lot of new content is now added to Call of Duty for free, like maps, which used to cost money. Now, development for the game and the people who make it is supported by optional purchases, like character skins. The in-game store in CoD is routinely loaded with amazing cosmetics.

Baby Pokémon are typically difficult to come by in the wild, but Pokémon Sword and Shield’s The Crown Tundra expansion features a few of the more popular options running around the frozen map. This new expansion added in the evolutionary lines for Electabuzz, Magmar, and Jynx, which means their pre-evolutions Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum are all included too.  Normally, you would need to breed the evolved Pokémon in some form to get the pre-evos, but in this case, you just need to get lucky while wandering the wild.

Squad streaming is one of the ways that Twitch has tried to encourage collaborative content creation on the platform.  If you’re playing games with a few friends who also stream, the feature gives viewers the option to watch multiple streams at the same time to see each point of view in a group. To squad stream, you’ll first need to be a partnered streamer. If you’re only an affiliate, you won’t have any options that allow you to squad stream.
