Epic Games can put on an in-game show unlike any other developer, and this past week. The company outdid itself, however, for an “Astronomical” event with rapper Travis Scott that had 27.7 million unique players participating. Immediately after the opening main event on Thursday night, Epic announced that it had a maximum of 12.3 million concurrent players participating, breaking a record for players participating in such an event. Pokémon Go players were introduced to a new event, the Spring into Spring Collection challenge, on April 3. Alongside bringing new spring-themed Pokémon to the game for the first time, there are a handful of new challenges that will keep you busy throughout the event until April 8. At some point down the road, you’ll need to capture a Shadow Exeggcute to complete the Collection challenge, which can be relatively harder than it sounds.

The new PlayStation 5 beta comes with several new features and updated systems, but some of the most significant additions are the new voice commands. Sony’s first version of voice commands first appeared on the PlayStation 4. Like on Xbox One, users could navigate to and open different games and media, but it was less intuitive since it required a separately connected mic to work. With this new beta version on PS5, users will still need a microphone but can use the one inside the DualSense controller.

A total of 16 of the best Magic: The Gathering players from around the globe have earned a seat at the 2021 World Championship via MTG Arena, showcasing gameplay in the Limited and Standard Constructed formats.  Scheduled to take place from Oct. 8 to 10, the 2021 Magic World Championship featured three rounds of MID Limited Draft and seven rounds of Standard Constructed leading up to the top-four double-elimination bracket finals on day three.

Starting today, League of Legends fans on Reddit will be able to customize their profile on the site with avatars inspired by Arcane. Riot Games is teaming up with Reddit for a crossover surrounding the upcoming animated League Netflix series Arcane. As more episodes of Arcane are released on Netflix and characters get introduced over the next few weeks, Reddit will make more avatars available to select from. The first round of Arcane character avatars on Reddit will launch on Nov.

Lucas “Santorin” Larsen will remain as Team Liquid’s jungler for another year. On Nov. 17, the Danish jungler teased he had signed with a team shortly after his one-year contract with Liquid expired. The organization confirmed today he will remain on the squad. In his reply to the announcement by Team Liquid, Santorin expressed his excitement to remain with the team for 2022. The jungler referred to Team Liquid as the “best organization hands down” and that he “can’t wait to see what we can achieve together with less obstacles in our way.

Less than 24 hours after FaZe Clan raised the PGL Antwerp Major trophy, the Virtus Pro organization got the latest post-Major roster shuffle going by announcing that Timur “buster” Tulepov and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis will be moved to the bench. The move comes after the roster was eliminated from the PGL Antwerp Major in the Legends Stage, following losses to best-of-one losses to Cloud9 and ENCE, then a 1-2 series loss to G2 Esports.
