The Nintendo Switch OLED has arrived, and just like the previous versions of the system, the battery life on these consoles while in handheld mode is painfully poor. Nintendo officially lists that the battery life of the OLED can last anywhere between 4.5-9 hours, depending on the game. More demanding titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey could be played for 4-5 hours, whereas small indie games or using the game on standby could see the system survive for a longer time.

You might not be able to find a Bulbasaur or Squirtle capable of Gigantamaxing in the wild, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still find the one you didn’t pick the Isle of Armor’s main story.  Like with pretty much every other Gigantimax encounter in Pokémon Sword and Shield, you will need to capture the starters after completing a Max Raid Battle.  There are specific areas on the Isle of Armor that you can find Max Raids featuring Gigantamax Blastoise and Gigantamax Venusaur, though you will need to use some system manipulation to reliably get those encounters.

Even within the new areas that were implemented solely in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to give players access to Pokémon from outside the Sinnoh region, there are version exclusives in play, including Elekid and Magby. The first evolution of Electabuzz and Magmar, that many players will be looking to score them for their own collection. Depending on the version of the game you’re currently playing, you’ll need to go about it in different ways.

The Umbral Engram system introduced with Destiny 2’s Season of Arrivals returns in Season of the Risen, functioning as your primary source for seasonal gear and high stat roll armor. While a number of options for focusing Umbral Engrams only require a handful of Legendary Shards, focused Umbral Engrams containing the seasonal gear need a new currency called Risen Umbral Energy to craft. Risen Umbral Energy is mainly obtained through the PsiOps Battlegrounds seasonal activity.

After years of requests from the community, Bungie has finally added an armor transmogrification feature into Destiny 2. Armor transmogrification, or transmog, is the ability to change the appearance of your armor. The game will allow you to select specific armors and change their appearance by creating armor ornaments from pieces of armor in your collection. Basically, if you’ve ever unlocked it, you can turn it into an ornament. The game will teach you how to use transmog in Destiny 2, called Armor Synthesis in-game, via a quest from the Black Armory’s Ada-1.

Whenever a new VALORANT patch drops, players want to download it as soon as possible to get a taste of the latest Riot Games has to offer. Though you’ll only need a few minutes to download small hotfixes, it may take a lot longer to download huge updates filled with new content. The size of VALORANT patches usually increases during events or in a new season. Even if your internet is rather fast, you may still experience slow download speeds that increase the time it takes to install the latest patches.

Though Riot Games has been taking things slowly regarding Wild Rift’s launch, more players get to try out the game each passing month as the developer invites more regions to the beta. Wild Rift may look like a League of Legends port from a distance, but the game was built from the ground up to ensure compatibility with all mobile devices. This also allowed Riot to make Wild Rift easier to play and even try out new mechanics that could only be pulled off with mobile controls.

In recent weeks, rumors of the Call of Duty series coming to Nintendo Switch have gained some steam on social media. A reputable leaker in the Call of Duty community, @RalphsValve, tweeted one week ago that Activision was working on bringing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered to the console. While there is no additional news on that front, there was an update to the official Online Services list on Activision’s website that showed a Nintendo Switch server.

PlayStation users might be experiencing an increase in issues with connecting to the PlayStation Network at the moment, mostly due to ongoing issues impacting the service.  Right now, players on both PlayStation 4 and 5 are reporting multiple encounters with error code NP-34957-8 following a server communication error.  This is one of several error codes that Sony has officially labeled with a definitive cause, that being the PSN likely being down for some form of maintenance.

As we inch closer and closer to the premiere of Riot Games’ upcoming animated series Arcane, developers released a quick sneak peek of a long-awaited update to Caitlyn, one of League of Legends‘ most beloved champions, in a video from today. Caitlyn, the Sheriff of Piltover, received a new champion theme. Ashort video featuring the song also showcases multiple new looks for Runeterra’s favorite sharpshooter, including many of her updated skins.
